Visiting Rochdale to see family. I was recommended to eat at the Wagon inn since it has had new owners. We were not disappointed. Friendly service, excellent choice menu serving traditional food and Canary Island tapas. I had several tapas, the steak and prawn skewers the crispy mozzarella and potatoes bravos and my brother had scampi and chips. All the food was lovely and fresh. Next time we are visiting we will be coming here to eat.

We ate in here on a fairly busy Saturday evening. There is a seating area as you walk in where you can grab a drink before going to your table, however, we had booked and were shown straight to ours, the menu is quite extensive and our only complaint was the lighting was quite subdues making the menu hard to read. However, the staff who served us were very efficient and the food we ordered was very very good, a mixture of meat and vegetarian dishes for the 4 of us dining. A couple of birthday celebrations were being celebrated whilst we were there and the staff made a great atmosphere for the parties involved. All in all a good night out... £130 for 4 people including 2 bottles of wine made it good value too.

Tried the brunch and it was very disappointing. Our party ordered avocado with poached egg on sourdough, what we received was a piece of white sliced tiger loaf not toasted with just over a tsp of advocado on top with a poached egg, the only reason it looked ok was because we ordered a side of bacon. Our party were still hungry and had to order toast. The staff are very pleasant and efficient but the food let our experience down big time. The brunch at The Bank in Delph is so much better. I wanted this place to be good as itâs more convenient for me but probably wonât return as the duck I had last week was very tough as well.

If you donât want staff checking on how your meal is, if you want anything else, available to settle the bill or appreciative of any tip then this is the place for you! It is obviously more interesting in the kitchen as that is where they spend most of their time out of sight! The food was okay but there is much more to the dining out experience such as customer care and hospitality .

Visited Saturday night with a friend; last minute table booking so could only get 9pm, not an issue as shows how popular the place is. We ordered Mushrooms, pate, pizza and chicken Pepe; food is hot, lovely presentation and plentiful in portion size. No complaints at all and weâre a frequent visitor.

Visited last night with friends; food was delicious, service quick and efficient. Ordered 12 tapas dishes between us (definitely over ordered!) but they were all yummy, with no complaints at all. Sangria with cava was nice to accompany the tapas. Value for money we though, £90 (3 of us dining) for 12 tapas dishes and 2 jugs of sangria.Looking forward to a return visit

Amazingly tasty food. Generous portions. Great value for money. Friendly helpful staff. All served in a beautiful atmospheric old coach house. Highly recommend it. We were cruising the Rochdale canal in our narrowboat and had moored in littleborough. The Rake is an easy stroll from the canal and is well worth the walk. Fabulous.

My family have visited here many times previously and had a very enjoyable meal. However, last night when we visited it seems the restaurant has changed hands and menu. Menu is very basic, mainly italian, the drinks menu is laughable, basically red or white wine or beer! The food took a very long time to arrive and when it did was awful, pasta was swimming in oil and pizza was hard with about a tea spoon of tuna fish.Service was extremely slow - will not be returning again

Located in the heart of the Pennines, this loungey little bar and restaurant in Littleborough provides the perfect pitstop for weary sightseers and is a cosy spot popular with locals for intimate evening meals and superb Sunday roasts. The Waterside Resta
