Elena, from Santander in Spain and her team brings you the authentic informal dining of her home area. Choose from our extensive range of portiones (larger than typical UK "tapas") from £3.00 upwards to steaks and fantastic paellas. Washed down with caref
Eaten here twice now. First visit a bit underwhelming however second trip made up for it. Very nice seafood paella with decent depth of flavour in the rice/stock. Starters were nice, however, the croquetas felt like theyâd been bought in. Really charming service from Elena herself! Thanks for taking the time to post a review. Glad you enjoyed your paella; it is very popular. I wouldn't advise that you suggest to Elena that the croquetas are bought in! Perhaps we should post a video of them being made. Booked a table for 10 for lunch. Everyone loved their dishes. I had the bruschetta which was amazing as was the carbonara(best i've had in a long long time). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and me and my cousins will definitely be back.

Went for family dinner (4), seated quickly and drinks order taken, given time to look at the menu. However after ordering food we waited nearly 40 mins. 2 had spaghetti with prawns which they enjoyed and one had the butter chicken which was also nice. However the salmon with gnocchi was poor, they salmon was over cooked and the gnocchi was heavy and gloopy. House wine was ok. The tables are very close together so if your looking to not hear you neighbours conversation I would go elsewhere .

My family visited Glasgow for one week. After a long international flight, we checked in to our nearby hotel and then started walking the neighborhood looking for a place to eat.We noticed Mora and thought it seemed like a good choice. We were wrong about it being a âgoodâ choice - it was actually an EXCELLENT choice! Despite wanting to sample many different restaurants during our visit, we wound up returning to Mora for a second meal. One night we wanted takeaway for a quiet night in our hotel, so we came back a third time but learned they do not offer takeaway ( carry out). Itâs in an old building but is beautiful decorated and maintained. It has a very clean and modern feel, superb service, very fair prices, and fantastic food. I particularly liked the pizza and the lobster ravioli was exceptional! If I ever return to Scotland I will eat here!

Our West End establishment opened in 2017, brining La Lanterna's Italian food to Glasgow's West End. We have great passion for what we do, and take pride in our classic food & first-class service.
Have eaten in the city centre branch many times so expected this one to be good as well .......far exceeded our expectations. Just loved the decor ------nice touch showing off those "old tiles" to total advantage . Modern ,classic and tasteful. Food was fabulous-we had the pre theatre menu on an early Friday evening . Service was great.Excellent value . This was our first visit to the West End branch ......why did we leave it so long ? Will definitely be back .Grazie mille for coming west-side - we're delighted it could match up to Hope Street. Now you'll have the difficult decision of which one to choose in the future!Thank you for such kind comments on our decor, we're really pleased with the results after all the hard word renovating before we opened, so it really means a lot when our guests love the surroundings. We appreciate you taking the time to write a review and couldn't be happier that you found the food and service to be of such a high standard. Looking forward to seeing you next time - whether West End or City Centre!La Lanterna

Having read reviews about this Restaurant myself and my husband decided to try it for ourselves to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary and Iâm so glad we did, this place is absolutely amazing. Although it was a rainy Thursday night in Scotland, inside this restaurant we felt we were transported to an intimate restaurant on the Spanish Coast with fantastic food, lovely wine, great service and a great choice of music to suit the mood. There is absolutely nothing I would change about this place, it speaks for itself and we will definitely be returning soon. Would recommend to anyone looking for great food, nice ambiance and very reasonable prices, so donât hesitate to try it for yourself, we did and were not disappointed.Hi mayjonThanks for taking some of your time to write a nice review about our restaurant is nice to hear that you enjoy your visit.RegardsIgnacio

Whether you are celebrating a special occasion, enjoying dinner with friends or planning an intimate meal for two - our welcoming friendly staff provide a warm and cosy atmosphere for you to enjoy authentic Italian wines and cuisine. With an extensive men
Having, over the years, visited a great many Italian restaurants in Glasgowâ¦..the Bella Vita is still the one to beat. Mimmo (the owner) is the star of this show and he has the loveliest staff, very professional, welcoming and friendly and they go the extra mile at every opportunity which all adds to the lovely, homely atmosphere at the Bella and gives the perfect start to the evening. But the reason customers, flock to the Bella time and again, is the deliciously authentic Neapolitan food (if youâre lucky you might visit on a night when Mimmo takes over the kitchen and does the cooking) This is restauranteur who really knows how to cook and is not just a figure head at the front house. The Bella Vita offers various menus from full ala carte, a set price lunch menu and an early bird evening menu - which are all really competitively priced, offer a great selection of dishes and amazing value for money, especially in comparison to some of the overpriced restaurants elsewhere in the city. The Festive menu here looks amazing value for money with so much choice you would be hard pushed to make a decision on what to have ⦠we often eat at The Bella with family during the Christmas period as the food is just so good- their Traditional Christmas dinner is hard to beat and obviously others think so too, as when I was making a booking for just before new year, one of the staff mentioned how many bookings they have already taken and it looks like being a sell out yet again. So, if youâre thinking of booking for Christmas/ New Year I would advise doing it sooner rather than later And itâs likely to get even busier as, yet again, they have been nominated in the Italian awardsâ¦.and we are really not surprised. They have won so many awards over the years, which are proudly displayed ⦠Mimmo and his staff take the recognition very seriously and keep trying to improve on all levelsâ¦.which must be difficult as the standards are already so high, but try, they do.During our visit last night, we found out about the new Celebration Menu they have created and it looks amazing. My mouth was watering just reading it- it includes starters of scallops glazed in a whisky sauce or Langostine cooked in white wine, lemon and a garlic butter and the mains look even better with Ravioli Aperto Di Gualtiero Marchesi⦠an delicious open Ravioli with lemon sole and scallops in a buttery sage sauce or Aragosta alla thermador, which is a full lobster cooked in the owner Mimmoâs own specially created thermador sauce.. or fillet steak prepared in Maderia wine demiglaze. The food at Bella is all about quality, amazing flavours and beautifully cooked dishes with a twist.....and Mimmo and his kitchen's team never miss on that front. Outstandingly delicious sounding dishes and certainly not your "run of the mill" menu especially if you have something special to I now, just need to find something to celebrate as the menu just looks so good â We really canât wait to try it! Last night dinner was as good as always⦠the house pate served with thick butter toast, onion chutney on oatcakes and a dressed salad was delicious and my other half absolutely adores the Bruschetta Calabrese (spicy meatballs served on thick garlic bread topped with Mozzarella) We usually end up sharing and eating half of each otherâs starters are they are large enough to satisfy the hungriest of appetites. Our main course were equally as good⦠My husband had his favourite â the Bellaâs thin, crispy (and massive) pepperoni pizza⦠and as usual he couldnât finish it but the staff are great and boxed it up for him to bring homeâ¦.so he will be having the other half of the delicious pizza tonight for dinner... Not only did we enjoy a lovely meal at the Bella last night but no cooking tonight-- a definite win/win for me.I decided on the chefâs special .. the most beautifully cooked fillet of fish in a creamy sauce which comes with potatoes and vegetables⦠but I donât really eat potatoes so I asked for it to be served with rice and salad. I love the way the Chef does the rice - it is just so full of flavour, really delicious and a salad with a great mustard dressing. It really was my âperfect dish â I decided to have dessert and the crunchy caramel cheesecake served with whipped cream and strawberries was so mouth-wateringly incredible, I could have licked the plate clean, it was that good. A flavourful, flat white coffee to finish and I could hardy move but boy, did I enjoy every mouthful. They have a really good selection of wines and the house red was also very good â full bodied, fruity and good value for money. So, a lovely night, a delicious dinner and good value for money. So, back to where I started - The Bella Vita, in our opinion, is still the one to beat. You should have a look at the Gallery page on the Bellaâs website & see how many of the Bella's famous customers you know.

Was here on Friday for lunch with a friend for a catch up. I started with the pate to start which more like a parfait. Absolutely lovely. My main was the always excellent sea bass on risotto. Fresh, well cooked and delicious. Service is always good and the girl serving us was no exception. Iâll be back soon.
