The trattoria amore is a classical Italian restaurant. Roman cuisine, home made pasta, white table cloth, great good looking service. We started with a small salad, had Spaghetti Vongole and Tiger Prawns with mediterranean vegetable. All prepared with lots of care and very tasteful. The wine per the glass (Montepulciano) was a wonderful recommendation. If we lived in Basel, then this would be our favourite Italian. Well done!
Une carte simplifiée, des podiums de qualité, un service aimable même en cas de demande particulière. Parfait pour un déjeuner rapide de travail même si le site n'est pas exceptionnel.

Arrived here for a party of 4 business dinner. We selected it to get out of tourist areas and try something local. We were not disappointed. Appetizers for our group consisted of either caprese or mixed salad which looked fresh and tasty and a Special: burrata (excellent). Main dishes were osso buco, veal, pappardelle with shrimp, and a special request for pasta with vegetables. An excellent primitivo helped was it all down. Above average.

Located in a side street 2-3 minutes walk from the Basel train station. Da Roberto is an insider's tip - we look forward to sseing you soon.
We visited on our first night, wee bit tricky to find. Standard, good quality Italian fare, the little rolls served with the salad (not sure if you get them anyway) were delicious, and the mushroom risotto was excellent. As this was our first night we were still acclimatising to Swiss prices but now can see it is pretty good value.Dear chocsEdinburghA big thank you for your positive feedback on TripAdvisor â your kind words are very much appreciated! The Da Roberto is indeed a hidden gem tucked away behind the hustle and bustle of the main square in front of the train station and we are happy that you found us. It's great to hear that you were thoroughly pleased with your dinner; oh yes, our homemade pizza dough rolls are very popular and you only get this kind of bread in some Italian restaurants. It would be our pleasure to welcome you back on your next visit to beautiful Basel!

Meeting with an ex-colleague, this small but decent place is good with its decent lunch menu (c. 18CHF). Outdoor seating is available and friendly setting inside. Although the current menu is much smaller than what is posted online - i.e. no Asian specialties - this is perhaps due to the quieter summer period. If in the neighborhood and seeking an alternative to the overwhelming Italian-dominating menus around, this is a nice choice.

Restaurant in Freidorf that is a pleasant location to have a glass of wine after a hectic day. Ambiance is nice and quiet. Service is a little inconsistent because staff is preparing for dinner and their is a shift change around 17:00, but that does not take away from from a restful place to unwind.

Das neue Team des Borsalino bemüht sich echt um seine Kunden. Freundlich, angenehme Preise und wer noch Hunger hat, bekommt auch was vom Grill.

The Rich Lebanese cuisine with over 40 Mezzes is for vegetarians and meat lovers very well suited. Quality, kindness, generosity and a nice ambiance round out the profile of our restaurant. Spoil yourself as an individual guest or as part of a group up to
I was really looking forward to go there since weeks. But I regretted afterwards. The Samboussak were served cold, the Taboule was definitely not freshly made, the servings are in plastic dishes, the beer served was most probably not the brand proposed on the menu. The decor is dating and very dark inside. The service was good though. Conclusion: definitely not the best Lebanese in Basel.

Situated near the Schloss Bottmingen, this little Italian restaurant offers a very wide selection of Italian dishes from antipasti to primi dishes (mainly pasta or risotto) and secondi dishes (meat or fish), as well as delicious pizzas. We chose to share a pizza as an appetiser and then all enjoyed one dish - whether it was the spinach gnocchi, the pesto risotto or octopus salad, everything was really nice! Service was good and pretty quick. Nothing bad to say apart from the prices..but itâs Switzerland, so not surprising. Weâll have to come back to try some other dishes!

Been here many times, and we keep going back. Such a friendly restaurant, the owners and staff make you feel welcome and service is good. The pizzas are fantastic, our favourite is the Italian place with Parma ham. Great option for lunch and they do a lot of takeaways and deliveries.Dear Tom_em_1Thank you very much for your wonderful rating. That fills us with great joy.Kind regards.Martin
