We just found this one via TripAdvisor without any extra recommendation. Had a nice lunch with different tapas all nicely prepared and served. Ovos/espargos and cogumelos recheados were our favorites but picadinho de vitela com migas de tomate is wonderful too. All hard to choose ;).. Small cozy place. Itâs a must visit if youâre in the region.Kids loved it too.

Great Restaurant option to consider if traveling around Monsaraz. In the village of Sao Pedro Corval, famous for its terracotta hand-made objects, this restaurant offers portuguese typical food, specialities of Alentejo, with a good service and reasonable prices.

This place is a favorite for locals. Service was outstanding. When asked if the sardines were fresh the waitress immediately replied "No, they're frozen". Food tasted very fresh, the cheap house wine was extremely good. The grilled lamb chops were excellent. Desserts are delicious.

It was pretty good food but the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. There are better places to eat in Reguengos for the same Price or less.

Described by our receptionist as 'The best within walking distance' it was a very quiet warmish Tuesday, and we arrived at 7:15 pm. Smart and clean, and welcomed by a friendly waiter, who did his best to accommodate one of our number who has a limited diet because of illness. I didn't see any Chef Paulo on the premises, but one lady cook in the kitchen. Food was rather slow in coming, so we had a grilled farineira sausage to keep us going, as we were the only 4 people in the restaurant, and when it did come, it was not very hot, indeed the Alentejo pork with clams was surrounded with a ring of almost cold roast potatoes, and the meat was dry. The octopus rice, a leftover dish of the day was tender and tasty, and my Sopa de Cação was very nice. The lady on the special diet enjoyed a salad with sweet potatoes and an egg, but nothing was outstanding. Bill, with a couple of beers and a glass of wine was â¬54, which sounds cheap for four, but actually rather expensive for the environs and quality. Maybe it was the Chef's night off, but we were a little disappointed.

We dropped in for Saturday lunch and the place was packed with locals. No room for us. However, the owner suggested we wait a while and see. The atmosphere was so fun and festive that we gave it a shot. So glad we did! The food was really excellent (and abundant). The service could not have been friendlier or better. We were made to feel at home despite being the only foreigners there. And we cannot wait to go back...
