Small restaurant in a restored building with old-fashioned brick walls giving it an attractive rustic ambiance. We had two different types of pizza; longaniza (pepperoni) with olives and roquefort (blue cheese) with pineapple. The crust was medium-thickness with just the right amount of mozzarella (they tend to put a large amount of cheese on pizzas in Argentina, which is too heavy for my liking). The pepperoni was a high-quality thin cut of sausage that was very flavorful and not too fatty. Blue cheese and pineapple was a new combination for me but the modest amounts of each topping complemented each other very well making for a delicious pizza without excessively strong flavors which could easily happen with the strong tastes usually associated with these ingredients. Both pizzas were seasoning with a modest amount of oregano for extra flavor.Overall, a very good meal !

First class service! Host, owner and chief cook and bottle washer, Claudio, speaks very good English and is super attentive. Presentation is superior and unexpected in this sleepy little town. Fantastic soup is on the menu. Hard to find in any Argentine restaurant. Unusual combinations of elements in sauces and all courses. Claudio's culinary creativity is so refreshing in a country where most choices on a menu are meat, pasta and not much else. His restaurant could easily thrive in New York with his mastery of fine dining in the relaxed, laid back atmosphere he has achieved in La Falda.

This is a family restaurant and they are always available to give you good tips. We had dinner three times in five days and, every time we have tried different food ( meat, fish and pasta) all of them were very good and tasty. They also have a good list of Argentine wines, besides that, do not forget to ask for dessert.

i still remember our first visit 3 yrs ago. the quality of the food is still the same, simply outstanding. prices went up a little, but what can you do with this crazy inflation. time to introduce michelin stars in argentina, this restaurant really deserves at least one if not two. i tried 3 different main courses and 2 appetizers and postres, i won't say anything more here, just try it yourself, you won't regret it. i was very pleased that (according to trip advisor) this is now the number 1 restaurant in cordoba. i would even go one step further, it is one of my favorite restaurants in argentina! as i am back at least once a year i can keep you updated if they can keep the high standards!a special compliment also to our excellent waiter from gummersbach, germany. impresionante!!!

We came to Alta Gracia for the day and came to Herencia for lunch off the back of a recommendation from a friend in Cordoba.Food is delicious- fine dining yet really affordable. We had starters and main each and paid £25 in total. Great service, beautiful building and definitely recommend.

The service here was amazing...waitress knew every ingredient to every dish we asked about and was very attentive. They even served our imported beer in chilled glasses and gave us a white wine bucket of ice to keep the rest of it cold. The food is much more interesting than your average restaurant and you can tell the chef takes pride in his menu. We recommend this place as do others.

Had lunch at this place on a Tuesday afternoon in Nov'18.Quality and freshness of food - ExcellentAmbience - so/so. the tables are very close to each other and lack privacy.Ease of finding location - Its very hard to find it. No where its written that its inside the central market building. Its very very small place and inside a big building and not exactly as per address written on trip advisor! It took me close to 20 minutes to find it!Service - The owners are super nice. The waiters did not seem to understand the menu well.Menu - Lot of items on menu not available. The menu is bilingualFood to recommend - Try their jar of lemonade ( one of the best) and their hummus.Prices - low - Spent 550 pesos ( 15 usd) on a lunch for 2 people and we were satiated.Overall - I recommend despite some mini flaws.I hope you found this review helpful. In general, I feel that Tripadvisor suffers from "grade inflation." People give out 4s and 5s rather precipitously. Statistically speaking, most restaurants should receive 3 stars, with a some 2s and 4s and a few 1s and 5s. The standard bell curve. But that doesn't seem to be the case on Tripadvisor, where 4s and 5s seem to predominate. So I tend to be a bit skeptical of the high ratings often found here.In this case, all the five-star ratings for Papagayo are richly deserved. It's rare that a restaurant surprises me, and Papagayo did. We were served some truly innovative dishes, such as the briefly cooked egg served in its own shell with arrope de chañar and cream. I've never had anything quite like it. Other dishes connected the flavors of many different cultural traditions without veering off into "fusion" cuisine. Some of dishes were interesting takes on standards. The sofrito de calamar y chorizo español was an interesting update to traditional Portuguese grilled octopus and chorizo. The solomillo a las brasas felt inspired by American pork and apples, but was taken to a higher level. Overall, the chefs demonstrated outstanding taste, inventiveness, technical proficiency and a sense of culinary history. The waitstaff was on point, particularly our waiter Agustin, who was exceptionally kind and interesting. Special kudos to the sommelier whose choices were spot on. Leaving aside the food, I would go back just for his wine recommendations. All in all, a total success. My wife and I are living in Córdoba this year and I look forward to returning to Papagayo frequently.
