Friday 10th May 2019 for lunch we went back to Trattoria Di Roma at Christes beach. This time we wanted to try pizza and pasta. We ordered a 9" piemonte pizza (roasted pork, red onions, oregano, mozzarella and balsamic). The base was beautiful, light but super crisp and not dense or doughy. It did have a tomato sauce but that was mild, fresh and not intense and didn't overwhelm the other flavours. The pork was delicious and we loved the balsamic and the onions. It was quite rich and a 9" to share was the right amount for us. We didn't think either of us would have been able to enjoy a full one of this each.We then had gnocchi- house made, napoletana sauce, Parmesan, basil and mozzarella.Very light. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked, very light, not watery at all and not heavy. The sauce was very fresh, not over reduced and tasted amazing. We also ordered a ravioli that was stuffed with spinach and ricotta with a pumpkin sauce. This was divine. Light, perfectly cooked pasta, the filling had a lot of flavour and the sauce was well seasoned and you could taste the basil and the pumpkin. It had a lovely creamy feta on it as well that helped finish the dish.We ordered a Napoli salad (rocket, pear and Parmesan) we've had this style of salad before but this was a new variation with the batons of pear rather than thin slices and the Parmesan also seemed to be grated not shaved. Both of these changes made the dish work better for us. And things we'll try at home.We then indulged in dessert a chocolate for Tess and Lemoncello for Daz- both full of flavour, easy to eat and tasted great. Daz loved the bitterness of the lemoncello and Tess liked the creaminess of the chocolate and hazelnut flavours that weren't too sweet. An espresso finished the lunch for Daz, he was very happy that the blend used was strong and didn't taste like a cappuccino blend. All in all- this is a great Italian restaurant. The owner/chef is very passionate about his food and it shows. We loved it and will return again and again. It's a small venue and has a limited alcohol list but it's enough. Bookings are recommended due to size of venue.

Here you will find a unique and laid-back beachfront cafe with table service. Enjoy the extensive Mediterranean style menu, paired with craft beer, local wine or espresso coffee. Relax and unwind at Moana beach.
We chose this place as it was near our place of stay, near the beach and are opened for dinner at 5 pm. We parked our car opposite the DeepBlue Cafe and walked into the blue color building . Restaurant is cozy and warm on such a wet and cold evening . Service does give us some warm feeling too ( after reading some reviews of negative service) We have seafood basket , vegan curry , lamb roast and Goulash.Seafood basket is good except the fish taste not so fresh . Squid is soft and tender. Prawn is fine . Vegan curry is good with rice Would recommend if you are around the area.

The Wanderers Rock & Roll Car Club went for a cruise down South and ended up at the Fiery Greek. We though that we would try a Yiros or burger to see what it was like. Well it exceeded our expectations with the friendly staff welcoming us at the door with a smile and ready to serve us.Most went for the Yiros and we were amazed that there was no gristle whatsoever in the lamb. The serving is way big and all the ladies asked their partners to finish their Yiros Wraps. The price was excellent for the quality and we noticed that they had a sign on the counter saying that they charged an extra $1 if you ordered the Lamb for your Yiros as the cafe' ordered premium Lamb meat and paid for the better quality. After the meals I ordered a Greek coffee and I am a very fussy coffee drinker. I often let establishments know what I think of their coffee if it isn't made to my expectations and order. Well they exceeded my expectations once again. Then my final test was to be the Greek Rice pudding which I again am very critical of. Well what a treat that was. Is there anything that the Fiery Greek can not deliver on??I live at Modbury Heights which is almost a 75 minute drive from this establishment but I will be revisiting on a weekly basis as their food is jut wonderful and better than what I would normally expect. This establishment would put a lot of Greek Cafe's in Greece to shame as they deliver 100% on quality and flavor. Lee is the owner and a good guy to chat with, very friendly and entertaining. Well done Fiery Greek!

Oscars is located in the heart of McLaren Vale and prides itself on offering a relaxed dining experience while serving delicious and fresh food, accompanied with our local wines, beers and ciders. â Oscars offers an extensive Mediterranean style menu that
Oscars is not "fine dining", as some of the other reviewers might have expected. It is more in competition with the local pub, providing solid, hearty food with a friendly service. That's exactly what we were after. The flatbread was flat and not too yeasty nicely covered with rocket and pear. All ingredients were fresh and nicely presented. Service was a bit on the slow side but very friendly. And yes, we had as well the experience that after our mains we felt a bit left alone. The short blacks were however as they should be.
