Reviews on Mediterranean food in Poros, Ionian Islands, Greece. Poros is a small Greek island-pair in the southern part of the Saronic Gulf, about 58 km south from Piraeus and separated from the Peloponnese by a 200 m wide sea channel, with the town of Galatas on the mainland across the strait.

I love this meze bar, chilled and relaxing in the day and sublime in the evening. It is just few steps to the crystal clear sea and they have beach service too amazing!! Jerry is an exquisite cook and Maria a charming host, together they have created a unique space. Well worth a visit.

Nice location overlooking Poros harbour and the small beach. Food was disappointing - typical spaghetti Neapolitan and grilled langoustine spoiled by burned garlic.

This is an excellent place to spend the day, especially if you have children in tow. The Paradise doesn't charge for the use of sunbeds or its well maintained pool if you're eating and drinking there. What's more, their prices are very reasonable, the staff friendly, and even the quality of food is for the most part every bit as good as at the nearby beach tavernas we tried. Our 6 year old daughter absolutely loved the pool and we spent a couple of entire days there.

We were recommended to try this restaurant. It is quite different from the typical Greek cuisine as the dishes have a French twist. If you have spent a few weeks eating Greek food his makes a wonderful change. The wine is also good. We had duck with honey and stuffed chicken both with dauphinois potatoes. Both dishes were lovely and good ample portions.

Traditional Greek taverna with fresh fish from local fishermen and local produce
Lovely taverna on the seafront. Great menu and lots of interesting local specials - if we were more local Iâd go back. We ordered mixed dishes of fish, salad, tzaziki and feta parcels and all were delicious. Good portions so we asked to pack some of our food to take home with us.

My husband and I ate here during our recent visit to Poros. My husband had Lamb Kelftiko, and I had a pizza. The food was very good, well good with good ingredients. The service was quick and efficient. We would definitely recommend Pantelis

The only restaurant in the picturesque village of Poros, located in the main square of Poros just in front of the sea. It offers traditional Greek dishes, hand made pizza and pasta cooked in a traditional wood oven, a selection of local grilled meat. Our

In our week-long visit to Poros, this was the only meal we had negative feelings about afterwards. Although the food is okay & prices mostly reasonable, both of us chose dishes which although advertised on the menu were not available (there were many more in the menu which were not too) so opted for something which we did not particularly fancy. As a restaurant which advertised fresh fish, we expected there to be more than just shrimps available to order. With the limited selection, the restaurant is not pescatarian or vegetarian friendly. Both members of staff who served us struggled to crack a smile and left us feeling almost like an inconvenience. This was however the cheapest meal of the holiday, so that could be seen as a positive!

Positive: The amazing view, fried potatoes, water and view. Negative: We asked about the vine leaves âThe Vine leaves are cannedâ this is a warning sign at a Greek restaurant. The white wine they served tasted a bit like a week old pre opened bottle. The briam I was served was extremely sad, soggy, waterlogged, depressed, laughable, and really was the joke of our vacation. Conclusion: I would eat the terrible briam again for the view and laughs. The view!

An excellent value lunch comprising Steki salad as a starter (had a choice of any salad on the menu but chose this one - very tasty), sea bass and sea bream - a lunchtime special offer of 20â¬. It came with chips and a side salad. Right next to the sea with a good view of the area. Well worth a visit and excellent service.
