Friendly staff. Great wine. Simple fare but cooked well. Quirky outside seats chained together (just for a coffee, no table) but in the sun. A local experience

We stopped in for lunch and tried the pizza. It was quite good, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The decor is clean and stylish, the location is great, and they have a lot of options. It seemed slightly more pricey, but it was not a disappointment.
The Adegas Acoriana is a great place for light plates / tapas. Food is really quite good for what is basically a small bar by a natural bathing pool. But the kitchen turns out great dishes like lapas (local limpets, small shellfush that taste halfway between a clam and an escargot), a terrific veal on local toast, great local sausage and a morcela (a local blood pudding) that blew away any other blood puddings I have ever had. Desserts are equally good -- especially what they called "cookie cake" (it is not some sort of regular cake with Oreos stuck in ti -- it is the.BEST. dessert. ever.) Local wines to wash it all down, on a picnic table overlooking the strait between Pico and Sao Jorge. It doesn't get better than this. We took some fresh-baked malassadas (basically, a sweet bread undecided whether it wants to be a donut, a danish,or brioche) back with us to the house where we were staying.Service is slightly slow -- only slightly --and only because they are understaffed at peak times. Be nice.. They're working very hard, and the waitress is very nice once she can get to you. Enjoy the view in the meantime. No extra charge. If you're staying in Prainha or anywhere near, it's a must.

We visited this restaurant on a rainy day in early August with friends who have a cottage in Pico. There were five of us & we all tried the dish of the day (6 Euros).. very tasty, very large portions. One of us had room for dessert. With wine & water the bill came to 47 Euros.I am posting the comprehensive menu - the service was extra friendly & if we should be lucky enough to find ourselves in Pico again, we would definitely come back. I would love to try their fish.Thank you!!Thank you for your preference

The restaurant is nice with a beautiful terrace. Menu gives enough choice, food quality was good (not outstanding but good), prices are ok. The services is terrible though! They ignored me completely at the beginning, then I had to wait 40 mins for my starter (a small salad), I had no napkin on my table, I did not get ketchup and mayonnaise straight away even though I asked for it. Bill took a long time as well and I was in a rush (which I told them at the beginning). So I would only recommend this place if you have a lot of time and patience and are not very hungry as you will have to wait a long time!Hello BluecyI will be reporting your comments back to the staff and management as feedback. Please understand the restaurant is very busy in the summer and it is hard to accomodate everyone´s need in the restaurant.best regards

never go back where you eat good...been there before many years ago the new management is a disgrace...cold soup, timber like steak, homemade chocolate mousse that was anything but homemade, too bad to describe,,, staff got orders wrong for 3 people the whole family more than once... anything but fresh fish or fresh anything, a disgrace, the worst meal I had in a decade.. the waitress serving us was the manager's daughter and is probable under age to serve at table, the other staff aloof and lost...the buffet looked so bad that we moved to the opposite side of the large room...a note outdoors stated that they no longer serve dinner...they should not serve anything at all

Amazing architetural work, great decoration, the best view, good wine and great tapas (& the best chocolate mosse ever). A great place just to hang out, alone or with friends, have a capuccino or a beer, have something to eat or just have a drink after ho
Excellent place to relax and enjoy a good food as well as a great service. Seafood! Fish! And their staff is knowledgeable to recommend something really outstanding. they know wines and will help to choose a combination. Alexander, the waiter, was great with his attitude and hospitality. The place is not cheap, but it's worth the price.

It took about ten minutes to be acknowledged. We then asked for a table and were told there was none available, and that it wasnât possible to know when one might become free - the waitress then just left with no apology or anything else... bad attitude, we also left with no intention to ever come back...

Saw this restaurant recommended in several travel blogs and Iâd definitely add my approval. Delicious food, traditional ingredients, lovely wine (even though green wine isnât actually green it tastes great!) and most of all amazing service! The waitress was so helpful and cheery even when there was a slight mistake in one of the orders. Yum!

This was my favourite restaurant from our stay in Pico. The restaurant is away from the town but only a short walk away. The views from the restaurant is beautiful, we were there during sunset and Pico went pink! Beautiful!Food was great. We shared starters, shrimp cocktail, cheese & bread. All delicious. Favourite was the cheese. I had the lasange - it wasn't overly flavoured it was just right! Desserts also nice too! We had both had before dinner cocktail, I had an aperol and my husband had camparri. We also had a lovely bottle of red and lemonchello shots to finish!Waitress was brilliant, friendly, kind & helpful! If I had stayed in Pico longer I would have returned.
