An elegant dining room on the lobby level, serving fine Mediterranean cuisine in a candlelit Middle Eastern setting. The restaurant has been voted the best restaurant in Jordan by the Grumpy Gourmet Magazine.
Al Iwan is a classic hotel restaurant which works hard to deliver a very good experience. Our booking was done nicely and efficiently. Our table was great. The menu offered a great variety of choices. The amuse bouche were interesting and fresh. The lasagna excellent and the avocado salad fresh though a bit blunt. The lamb chops cooked very well. If anything the plate was rather âemptyâ, but the chops were very good. The lamb tangine was juicy and flavorful. Service was friendly and welcoming. Recommended for anyone wish an upscale meal option in Petra.
We are backpacker traveling mostly on low budget. Of course a touristy place like Wadi Musa is always more pricey.Al afandi is a good place where you can eat cheap and also tasty food. The fries were crunchy and fresh. We really liked the falafel. They prepared it spicy and it was one of the best In Jordan so far.We also got fries for free.

We were on tour with Jordan Horizon Tours. The tour included a lunch stop in Petra. We were taken to Petra Zaman Restaurant. Not expecting much but what a surprise, a Jordan buffet lunch with a speciality "Maqluba", an upside down chicken and rice dish. It was delicious. Their hummus was the best I have tasted. The total meal was great and we enjoyed the restaurant .
My husband and I stopped here for a quick meal tonight because we were ready for a break from traditional Jordanian food and it is located very near our hotel. We were so pleased! The menu sticks primarily to pizza and sandwiches (see English menu in photos) and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace and watching the world go by just outside the tourist area while we waited for our meals. We each had a medium pizza (shawarma pizza and vegetable pizza) and a Fanta, both of which arrived quickly. The pizza crust was chewy but thin, with a generous serving of melty cheese on top. My shawarma pizza had nice spices and was rich and filling, and my husband's veggie pizza did the trick. Our total was under 10 JD. Very good overall.

The service here was friendly and I felt especially sorry for the staff who were in the midst of Ramadan and preparing and serving westerners. The salads and vegetables we're fresh and tasty. The spicy tomato sauce on the salad gave it a real kick. The falafel was made fresh in front of you and the hummus and tahina were very good. The best was the sawani dijaj, a chicken stew with tomato and onion that was so tasty and the roasted eggplant, also fantastic. If you go to Petra this is the place to eat.
Welcome in Jordan Heart Restaurant. We make delicious meals. Our menu have Jordanian traditional meals like maklouba or mensaf. But we have also very nice barbeque. Also the vegetarians have many choice with our menu.
This restaurant was recommended to us by our host and we were not disappointed. Drinks and meals were freshly made and therefore very delicious. Service was very attentive. Prices in this touristy area are generally higher than elsewhere in Jordan, but still we felt we received a great value for what we paid since tea was included. If we had had more time in Petra, we would definitely have dined there again.
