This bar was recommended by our hotel- sadly we found it very poor. It is a fairly large room with brightly coloured walls, a wood floor and cheap, repurposed furniture. The menu is fairly comprehensive as is the drinks list. The Maitre D is French, and very accommodating. We arrived for an 8pm booking to find the place full of families. As such it was noisy and not the adult environment we hoped for. Many of the items on the menu were not available. Others menu items were altered but we were not told until they were brought to our table. The potatas bravas were greasy as were the Padron Peppers. We were charged £6âish for two deep fried chicken wings, split into 4 on a bed of lettuce. Other items were disappointing with some being more Asian than Spanish. In short, yes, this is the best Tapas bar in Dolgellau, but if it was in an equivalent town in Spain, it wouldnât last 5 minutes.

Please note that on Easter Sunday we are also open for evening service, therefore we serve from 12 midday - 20.30
I decided to book this restaurant about 2 weeks after reading the reviews of this & others on TA. Glad I did. Me & my other half has the combo starter while for means he had the lamb shank which fell off the bone & I had sea bass which came in a lovely creamy sauce. Also found room for apple & blackberry crumble & custard. Everything we had was really well made. The staff were polite. They also do a specials board if nothing on the main menu catches your fancy. Would definitely book here if I was to visit Barmouth again.
Small modern Dining Room wihtin the luxurious suurounding of Ffynnon Boutique Hotel Ideally suited for intimate Fine Dining as well as private Dinner Parties. Serving freshly prepared dishes with mainly locally sourced ingredients cooked to a very high st
Since I only live locally, I cannot justify a stay at Ffynnon, but after realising that they do evening meals for non residents, I decided to try it out.I booked Ffynnon for a special meal to celebrate St Dwynwen night (the Welsh equivalent of St Valentine) and my wife and I were certainly not disappointed. Since Ffynnon is a boutique hotel and meals for non residents are pre booked only, the whole experience was very personal. I was contacted after my booking asking if we had any special dietary requirements, and on arrival we were shown into the lounge to be served drinks and an appetiser besides an open fire. When we moved into the dining room there was only one other couple present, and the service was attentive but not overwhelming. The food was of a very high standard, and certainly lived up to the location. Would definitely recommend as one of the best, if not the best fine dining establishments in the area. Perfect for a special occasion.

Welcome to watch the sunrise and sun set with us ,eat and drink together with a comfortable atmosphere! Eat in garden , or take away by the Beach....
We went here because a lot of places for food close early and it was the nearest place, for customer service it is very poor that they donât take card payments but that really is only a minor point compared to the general contempt they seem to have for customers. They can not be bothered to actually bring the food to the table! They donât provide tap water!!! Frozen chip. Find somewhere nicer and friendlier if you can is my advise!
