Good choice if you are a student and want to drink some wine with friends on a budget. The music and the atmosphere are usually satisfying, but the food and the wine are not of high quality (quite cheap though).

Been three times. First time excellent, second time alright. Third and last time, boring and pretensious. It is OK to be a little more expensive than the average restaurant but you have to back it up with awesome food. The food was nothing special or memorable. I really wanted it to be like my first visit. The second time I thought maybe they were having an off night. The third time confirmed things are not as they were. You get a feeling it is not a happy place to work. You don't get that team spirit that a successful restaurant needs to have. This starts from the top.

Salad was excellent. Pasta was addictive. Burgar was average. Under seasoned and didn't hold together well. It could have been amazing but fell short. Kind of a sad looking plate. Fried potatoes were very poor. Overdone and again under seasoned. I am not a fan of adding salt to any dish . I believe in eating the meal the way the chef intended. Very nice wine menu.

This is now one of our favourite restaurants in Patras. In the past few years there has been a rejuvenation of Patras, with the universities came more bars, restaurants and nightlife here and for everyone's budget. The resurrection of these traditional Greek tavernas around Patras is superb! They died out when family run businesses closed and fast-food took over, and those cold empty tavernas that were open had limited choice. Now there is a vast choice of restaurants for all budgets, and Katsarola tis Toulas is a very popular one with locals! It is in the centre of Patras and is a lovely little cosy traditional restaurant. You can see all the dishes for yourself and order at the counter or sit and order from your table. There are a lot of dishes to choose from! All are traditional Greek dishes, pastitsio, chicken with pasta in the oven, beef casserole, lamb slow cooked in the oven, souffle, Greek bean stew, various vegetable dishes including stuffed tomatoes or peppers, spaghetti and many more, and they all look delicious! Unlike other restaurants, the dishes are all prepared fresh daily and once the large casseroles and roasting pans are empty, there won't be more cooked until the next day so the menu is not always what you will find. The staff are all so friendly and attentive and food portions are good. Everything is available for takeaway too, you'll see a lot of local Greeks buying for their home. And once everything has been sold, they will close, so planning to go in the evening may not be the best idea, we went at 7pm one night and they had nothing left.

This is a lovely intimate restaurant in the centre of Patras. It doesn't have outdoor seating so is ideal for dinner on evenings when sitting outdoors is out of the question. The service is outstanding and the traditional Greek food fantastic. The restaurant is furnished and decorated very tastefully. The meals on offer, while traditional Greek, were a bit left of centre - or not so common in your tourist trap venues. We were so impressed that in our week in Patras we visited here a second time and were just as impressed.

The restaurant will be closed on July 27, 2019 due to important family ceremony and will be open the next day. Aptaliko is a family-run restaurant, in the heart of the old city, opposite the ruins of the roman stadium. Aptaliko is famous for its original
We visited the place last week and really enjoyed everything there. The weather was warm so we sat outside. The dishes were really good and the staff were so helpful. There was also an amazing duo (bouzouki and guitar) playing live Greek music. We also loved the wine served. To the best of my knowledge, this is a family business and therefore there is a family atmosphere in the restaurant, which we appreaciated. You should visit this place!Dear friend,We have to confess that all your assumptions are correct! Indeed we are a family restaurant supported by a great team of staff members who also are inspired by the ''family style'' philosophy! Thus, the personal contact with every single visitor is a high priority for us. The duette you are referring too are actually hired after their explosive performance this night and they will start playing live indoors from Friday 25 October 2019! So, there's a lot more to follow. All the best and thanks once so much for your supportive and heartful comment!Kind regards,The Aptaliko family
