Things to do in Monteria
I enjoyed eating at this restaurant. The food was good. As a Peruvian Japanese restaurant i felt that it could provide a more clear menu and fusion options. The decoration ans service was very good. It is located in one of the most nice hotels and that make it very accessible if you are at the hotel. It is a good option. I didnt like the menu was presented, a little messy.

It's hard to find international food in Colombia, and considering we were in Monteria, my expectations weren't terribly high. However, for the price point and quality of the food, this restaurant could be much better. The prices are pretty high, and they are on par with what you would pay at much better Spanish restaurants in Bogota. The quality of the food left much to be desired, and at times, it seemed like some of the fried items on our mixed Tapas plate, came straight from the freezer. Also, the tomato sauce used on the albondigas was way too sweet, and tasted like it was made with that terrible Colombian ketchup. I understand that Spanish food is a novelty in this part of the world, but if they are going to charge such high prices, then I expect the food to deliver. Unfortunately, it doesn't.In addition to the mediocre food, the service was quite unfriendly. There were two servers working, one big guy and one skinny guy. The skinny one was actually quite personable, but unfortunately for us, he did not wait on our table. The bigger waiter was pretty unpleasant, and had a frown on his face the entire time. Out pleases and thanks were just answered with a scowl and apathy. Honestly, I don't think he even said a word to us the whole time we were there. Whoever manages this restaurant should talk to their waiters about the meaning of hospitality. Unfriendly service and mediocre food don't exactly make for return customers.
The restaurant was very nice. I was there on Friday and they had live music. I ordered a dish with several small samples and it tasted very good. The beer was served in a frozen glass, something not really common in Colombia, but common in some Mediterranean countries. Regarding non-alcoholic drinks, there were not so many alternatives, so if you are the designated driver or you do not drink alcohol, you will have limited options.

Went there due to it's reputation for steaks. The setting was delightful and the service very accommodating. The steaks were well prepared, but I've had better. The menu is Spanish and there is a good selection. The appetizers were tasty.. I'd describe them as good. The ambiance is 5 stars and food 3-4 starsI'd return to this lovely restaurant,

Italian and mediterrenean food
I spent most of this year walking past this restaurant in Alamedas, curious to try it out. I'm leaving town soon, never to return, so I thought that I'd better get on with it! I've always liked its ambiance. I had a really good dish of pasta, and a couple of glasses of white wine. The portions were fair, though the price is on the higher side. I had a great couple of hours enjoying my order and watching the world go by. I might even go back in the few days that I have left!

My friend and I had a hankering for some tasty international food today. We were not disappointed! The falafel was fantastic, as was the humus and our drinks. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. We will definitely be going back. There was also air conditioning, so that we would stay cool and comfortable as we ate.Another note, my friend is vegetarian and she finds it very difficult to find meal options in Monteria. Baalbeck has some great vegetarian dishes!
