Restaurant located in a typical cantabrian house from the 16th century. We strive for authentic traditional cuisine and quality product.
Absolutely fabulous meal in a beautiful Bistro - best steak ever ! Lovely décor especially the light fittings

A little fatigued by deep fried rabas and other creatures of the deep, we gave this nice bar a try. We had some lovely mussels in tomato sauce, great squid grilled with a nice salsa and an interesting bacalhua salad. Finished off with tasty rice pudding and cinnamon ice cream. Good value and friendly service.

It has very easy access to the highway and on our way back to Santander we decided to stop here for lunch. We had the "menu del dÃa" on a Saturday for 25 ⬠and we were not dissapointed. We got a very tasty 3 course meal with very decent portion sizes and very good food quality. You will find mainly spanish classics with a twist in the menu. Very friendly and efficient staff and enough place to park your car.

It is a surprising place! Out in the middle of the country, not far from Santander, this place offers excellent paellas and quite a good service. The choice of wines is good and the value for money is average. If you are looking for a good place to eat paella in Cantabria, this is it!

Adjusted one of their specials to suit vegetarians. Enjoyed a dish of scrambled eggs with caremelised onions and mushrooms.

We have been here for a lunch during a break from the beach. This place is very simple inside and offer a small terrace outside with around 7/8 tables.Service was friendly, careful and fast. They offer different dish compositions and menu (the menu of the day was not in the one provided but you need to ask if you go for it).We had a menu composition including starter, main dish, bottle of wine, dessert and coffee for 26⬠each person. We had very good prawns in a garlic sauce and zamburriñas to start, further we had lubina and sapito cooked in the oven.Everything was fresh and nice.I can suggest this place.

Tried a few places around Mogro, Santander and Torrelevega and this one stood out. October is out of season and lots of places are closing or are shut through the week. We went on Saturday to Le Estacion which sits behind Mogros Feve Raliway station and was 900 metres walk. Choose Menu of the Day for 16 Euros, which gave 3 courses , bread, coffee, bottled water and a bottle of wine ...great value. The chef came out and explained in great English each dish (there were 4-6 choices per course), which were all homemade and traditional. The terrace outside was lovely. Go there!

I have been a fan of El Nuevo Molino for many years and have enjoyed many wonderful dinners there. However, our last meal there surpassed any previous ones. The chef has managed to devise a completely new menu, full of surprises, whilst still using local ingredients and quirky adaptations of regional specialities. There are wonderful inventions, such as razor clams in chickpea stew broth, sea urchin infused fried egg...so many new items, that we decided to try the "long and lean" tasting menu. It was all absolutely fantastic and demonstrated the artistry and imagination of the chef. The traditional items are still offered, and other tables were mixing and matching new and old.As usual, service was perfect - professional and yet very welcoming at the same time and on a unseasonable chilly evening, it was wonderful to sit next to a log fire! Now we have tried all the new dishes, I would certainly recommend all of them, but I also suggest not to ignore the local beef carpaccio, fried squid and cheese ice cream from the traditional menu. The fish main courses are always sublime, only the freshest fish is used and cooked absolutely perfectly. To summarise; this is my idea of a perfect restaurant: beautiful building, wonderful staff, amazing food and one of the best priced Michelin starred restaurant that I have visited.

Because of the rain, "peregrinos" are not permitted to walk parallel to train tracks therefore it is ideally located to save 8 km EXTRA walking. Bunk beds. Good supper. Only negative is that kitchen/eating room is too small! Hostess is really nice. Serves cold beer in cold, icy cold beer mugs!

This is a three star hotel but it is a lovely friendly place and the service and staff are amazing. The outside terrace has excellent bar service with tapas and amazing gin and tonics! The views are wonderful and the chairs comfy and relaxing. It is popular with coach groups from France but it did not overwhelm the hotel or affect the ambience or service. We ate in the restaurant twice and all the meals were good and well presented. We tried most of the dishes and no complaints. The seafood soup was great as was the Iberico ham. The staff rusted up an impromptu birthday cake for David and even found a 6 and 4 sparkler to decorate their kind gift! La Vuelta teams were staying so that was an added bonus. Great location, great beach, lovely walks and will visit again
