Quite OK. Nothing more, nothing less. It is situated on a lovely site, overviewing the sea and the village of Foinikounta. Price and quality do not walk hand in hand and the service is not what you would expect in Greece. For each service a different waiter who, of course, is inly interested in his task...

"Koukos" is a traditional restaurant placed in Pylos. With respect to old reciepies, with original ingredients, variety of local flavors, the visitor enjoys moments of magic. The tavern "Koukos" has established itself as one of the best in the area, offeri
My girlfriend and i ate 2 times at this restaurant and both times were very good! They offer traditional Greek food and quite some of it seemed local. They also produce their own wine and olive oil, which i recommend trying! Overall we ate well and had a beautiful view on the seaside. On top of that, the manager also gave us both a little bottle of their own produced olive oil to take home for free! I recommend this restaurant!

After looking to find a restaurant that represented the local area outside of our hotel complex in Costa Navarino, we found this gem. It was the perfect choice and the family agreed, was one of the highlights of our holiday that will no doubt be a memory and experience we can share for many years to come. As soon as you arrive, the owners make you feel like family members arriving for a special celebration. The 150 year old house, garden and table settings ooze tradition and the tour of local church next door and family âmuseumâ add to the experience and connection with the venue and owners/head chef before dinner begins. As you would expect, the menu is all traditional dishes of Messinia with all produce grown in the garden or on the family farm. It is simply delicious although make sure you prepare yourself as the portions are very generous! The menu changes daily so we had the lamb which was cooked to perfection but I am pretty sure every evening menu will be superb. The wines are excellent value and complement the food and the recommendations spot on based on our choice. If there is in restaurant/gastro experience I would recommend in this area it would to book at the Trichordo even if you have to travel there for 45mins (the journey from Costa Navarino is scenic and follows the coastal road so is worth the cab fare alone)Thank you both for such an amazing and unforgettable family experience. Katie, the boys and I agree that it is one of the best family dinner experiences (it is far more than a restaurant) we have enjoyed together. Loved it and will certainly be back the next time we are in this unspoilt part of Greece.Thank you so much for your review ! We enjoyed your company also ! You have already realized that we donât see our guests as clients but we try to make them part of the family ! We are so happy that you have appreciated our effort and our love for history , tradition and geography! We hope to see you again soon !

Had a beautiful pork souvlaki in pita bread here for lunch the other day. Very cheap and a big portion with tomatoes, chips(fries) and the special sauce The chap is very friendly and it has an excellent spot overlooking the fishing harbour.

The menu is solidly set on the pillars of traditional Greek cuisine, donât expect experimentations or innovations, but enjoy the perfect fried anchovies, the tasty grilled dorados, the grilled octopus and the salads and appetizers with a good retsina Malamatina...and donât have eyes bigger than your mouth: Greek tavernsâ owners do believe we still need to grow up and serve big portions!

I would only recommend Taverna Rex as a last possible option. The staff is not friendly to tourists and the food they serve is a disgrace to whatâs known as âtypical Greek foodâ. -Iâve seen rocks softer then the bread they serve.- Better skip this one!

Last night we had the best sea food platter that we have had in Greece over the last 20 years. The variety was perfect and everything was very fresh and perfectly cooked. The crispy white wine was an ideal match. The accompanying dips were all home made and delicious. The salads were also very tasty and we were offered a wide choice of traditional oven cooked Greek food which we will try next time. The Modon is a family run business and the service is very friendly and professional. The prices are very moderate, but the standard is very high. The Modon has a new kitchen and toilets and the whole place was spotlessly clean. If you want to have a fabulous meal with a sea view in a relaxed atmosphere the Modon is the place for you.

A local recommendation from Greek friends and tourists, Klimataria gave us a delightful lunch. Spanakopita salad, pictured, was quite a lot more sophisticated than we expected, beautifully presented and so tasty. Light crispy pastry in slices on top. Very reasonably priced and great service. We were so impressed that we plan to spend a night in Methoni next year, purely in order to enjoy an evening meal here. Pleasantly cool covered dining room with spectacular views of Methoni castle. Just wonderful.

We chose shrimp saganaki, ceaser salad, spicy meat balls, and seabass. Everything was tasty. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere as it was popular with families. The only shame was that the team were rushed of their feet and weren't very attentive, we waited ages for them to clear the table. The restaurant is popular with families, so you will likely have to wait for you order to be taken and for the kitchen to process all the orders.

This was a second time we visited Andreas' restaurant. This time we ate fillet steak and it was absolutely perfectly done, medium rare, on the grill. The first time we had fish and it was also really fresh and delicious. We can recommend this restaurant. The family speaks fluent German.
