Decided on Gyro Palace because of its good food and its delivery service. It was cold out but those guys delivered our hot, delicious dinner. Itâs fresh comfort Greek food and we would go nowhere else for a great delivered meal! Weâve eaten at the place countless times but since it offers deliveries-why not!?! Ordered a large Greek salad and a Greek burger. The salad was absolutely delicious & the burger (with fries) was great. This place has been around for a long time-no wonder as the owner, staff & food quality are always #1 in our book!

My wife and I are regulars at this neighborhood place. I've tried almost everything on the menu, and I love the gyro, but when I'm not in the mood for a meat dish, I typically order the shrimp saganaki. Their chicken souvlaki is delicious as well. For starters, we usually order a large Greek salad... always enough to feed the whole table. If you are not ordering main course, you can order the salad with chicken souvlaki or falaffel, or gyro, etc to make your salad a full meal. If you do not want a main entree, they have sandwiches as well. I think they are closed on Mondays, and they usually go to Greece and close during the summer. The owners actually recommended a couple of Greek restaurants that we tried when we visited Greece a few years ago!

We had gone to Sufiya's in East Meadow and when trying to get a reservation there, there were none, and they suggested the Merrick restaurant. We didn't even know there was one. We are glad there is. Sufiya's was fantastic. Frankly, the Merrick location is larger and nicer. We got there at 6:30 and it was pretty empty, but by 7:15 the place was full. Service was great, very friendly, accurate and prompt. The food was totally fresh and you can just tell the care that went into each dish. We would recommend the arugula salad and the falafel appetizer. All our entrees were great too. The baklava dessert was a perfect ending. Thank you to everyone there!

Located in the shopping center where uncle Giuseppeâs is located, this little neighborhood gem is tucked away and can be easily missed. The staff is friendly and accommodating (much more than the Merrick location). The pita basket is generous with a minty tahini sauce. Itâs filled again upon request.Hummus is fresh, the Sambuseh are a delectable treat, crispy dumplings filled with chick pea mash. Even the dolmen, stuffed grape leaves, were tender and not stringy or tough. The salmon shish kebob is garlicky and moist. The brown rice is addicting. More than I can ever finish. Last visit my husband ordered the lamb kebob and was not disappointed, a little over cooked but still tender and flavorful. The Persian tea is spicy and aromatic. Skip the desserts, they need an upgrade, especially the baklava that is too dry.
