Locanda Riccomaggio is a real find! We were staying at b&b DonnaGiulia in Cursi for the second time. Our hostess, Ada, recommended that we try out this place for lunch. She told us that the portions were very generous and all are home cooked. The restaurant is located on a back road outside the village of Cursi. We used our GPS and kept our eyes peeled for signs that showed the direction. We didn't know enough to order only one item. Instead we the apetizer, primo and secondo and without exaggeration, it would have easily fed 5 people!Afterwards the owners son took us around the property showing us all the items that they grow and use in the restaurant. Before leaving he picked a bag full of oranges and lemons for us.We recommend this place highly!!

We've heard about this restaurant from travelers that were staying at the same B&B as us. They highly recommended it to us. They said it had a nice wine selection and good and traditional food for a small price. It turned out to tick all our boxes. We will return!

Pretty good food, beautiful town and extremely popular like crowded. Local wine list only. Very willing staff but can push you into ordering whatâs handy as they are so busy. Not relaxing.

A restaurant where the local cuisine is made with great skill and passion, research in the field has led to proposals also oriented towards the oriental cuisine such as sushy in both original and Mediterranean versions.
This restaurant is surrounded by beautiful olive groves and fields that enhance the experience. In the summer one could sit outside and enjoy the view with the meal. Inside, the place is Traditional but comfortable. The owner has an impressive (above average and high end) wines and liquors. If you are a wine counosor it is a recommended place. The 2011 Salentino wine was superb (at â¬14 it was a great find). The food was average for the area But generously served. The service was attentive (no English). I recommend this restaurant for its wine selection and outdoor setting

We ate twice here recently and it was very good on both occasions. The pasta was very light and well made and the pizzas were made using quality, fresh ingredients. (They also do takeaway). The restaurant is beautiful and the staff were extremely friendly and spoke a little English

Overall an excellent experience with great good and attentive service. The menu has a good choice and after a week of endless bread, pizza and pasta (yum!) we opted for both the tuna and beef carpaccio followed by beef tenderloin and all were excellent quality. There is a bar next door which had a good buzz that we would check out next time we were there.

Rather gloomy terracotta coloured room, with little light. The food is simple and well priced, but my pasta was stodgy and those that ordered vongole with turnip tops were surprised how bitter it was. Not worth a detour.

I was extremely lucky to be introduced to this hidden gem by a friend and had returned three times in 10 days since. The owner is incredibly friendly, the food fresh, healthy and reasonably priced.I am a vegetarian. Although their specialty is meat, there are many veggie dishes on the menu. I have tried the "nonna Consiglia" antipasti (fresh local produce, a selection of cheeses including fried ricotta (a first time for me). For main meal I have had lentils, peas and chicory. The portions are very generous. Everything I've tasted was delicious, no fault. My friends had meat and they all seemed very pleased with their choices. The meal usually ends with homemade liquors offered by the house. If you're lucky as we were Tania (the owner) will sit down and have a lovely chat with you.

We have a second home in Salento and have tried many local restaurants. The standard is this area is high and hidden in the back streets of Martano is this absolute gem. We had dinner first as a couple and enjoyed every course, the risottoâs are excellent and I had fresh fish as part of the â catch of the dayâ. Delicious! My husband loves pizza and he believes this is the best ever! Thin crust, very tasty toppings.. 10 out of 10! The service is exceptional too and all so good that I returned 2 days later with 5 local lady friends for lunch. Everybody loved it, especially my Italian friends who loved the pasta dishes. Needless to say, we are returning again and now have âOperaâ down as a regular for the future.

The restuarant Manna dei Re (The Manna of the Kings) offers a mediterranean cuisine which includes meat and fish dishes. We pride ourselves on pampering our guests in a relaxing atmosphere with traditional fayre prepared in a creative manner by our Chef.
Went to this very excellent new restaurant in the small town of Minervino di Lecce. You canât go wrong ordering anything on the menu here. Worth the trip if you are staying in Otranto or anywhere near. All the fish we ordered was fresh and cooked just right: the tuna, the snapper, and salted cod. Everything was presented in a very picturesque way and tasted amazing all the way to the deconstructed tiramisu for dessert. Nice ambience and the a/c didnât hurt either. Lots of special touches, donât miss this restaurant. Bon Appetito!
