We had dinner at this place. They serve very nice antipasto, only made from local food. We went for the antipasto misto, which offers a very nice combination of different dishes including e g. Mortadella with a pistachio cream or wedges with a topping of local cheese. The taste is really exceptional since they use recipes created by themselves: each antipasto is more like a unique composition. Our second dish was what Maurizio calls a sandwich; it looks like a burger but it has nothing in common with a burger: it is made of local cheese, local meat and a variety of marinades and adds, e. g. chestnuts and honey. Eating the burger is a unique experience of taste and a feast for the eyes too!! You do not find a second place of this kind in whole Avellino and Salerno region!!

Spent an afternoon in Avellino & enjoyed lunch at Erreclub. We had a variety of pizza & sandwiches which were all delicious. The place was full of locals & all menus were in Italian. When traveling we strive to eat where the locals eat. The prices were more than reasonable & the beer & wine were wonderful as usual. Would highly recommend if you find yourself in Avellino.

The cannelloni and lasagna were so delicious and the service so friendly, we kept returning. A local shop owner recommended this restaurant for simple, authentic but wonderful food, and he was spot on. Only problem is my mother says she will never eat tiramisu at another place again!

Prezzi medio/alti, però considerate che si tratta di pesce. Piatti nel menu non classici, ma unâinterpretazione particolare dello chef. Sono rimasto abbastanza soddisfatto. Qualità del cibo ottima. Personale simpaticissimo e sempre a disposizione. Locale carino e accogliente. Ci sono abbastanza tavoli. Lo consiglio a tutti.

Dear all, Avellino as a city is full of pizzerias, and many are very good, indeed. But Il Testone is a lot over the average. The superb 'impasto' , light, crispy in the right way, soooo tasty and inequivocably 'made in Neaples', with real exceptional ingredients, juicy mozzarella, normal or buffalo( what I strongly recommend),the fantasy in different tastes, all this and more, makes this place a must...each time I get back to Avelkino,I can't miss this place, the gentleness of his people and of the special couple who is running thisplace. But..pizza is just the beginning, not to mention the fried polpettine(meatballs) and many but so many delicate tastes, typical fron the Napoletana tradition. Closing with a special dessert accompained by a typical limongello or one of the several 'amari' full of herbs and misterious tastes. Ah,don't forget the local wines or many special beers which will accompaign your meal...

My cousins took us here for dinner the night before we were leaving Italy. Truly an amazing meal. We got so many appetizers I was almost full from them. The pizzas were VERY good - napoletan style. It's nice inside and be sure to check out the pizza oven and the grill. I'll definitely return on my next visit to Italy.

My restaurant comes from my passion for cooking in general and that of Naples, in particular, since it is the one that belongs to me. We follow the tradition, but we go further rediscovering some of the Neapolitan '700 dish under the guidance of Vincenzo
This is a truly beautiful way to experience the province of Avellino. The restaurant is beautiful with nicely divided areas making each table very private. The owner was extremely gracious, the service spot-on and the food was fantastic. We followed the owner's recommendation on the antipasti which was a nice assortment of local items. My husband had the gargantuan meatballs which were great. I had the rabbit served with an incredible sauce. We took the owner's recommendation for a bottle of local wine which complemented the meal perfectly. To top it off, there was a gentleman and lovely lady serenading us with Italian folk songs all night that reminded me of Sunday dinners at the grandparent's house. They had amazing voices and put on a wonderful show. The evening was an experience we will long remember.Grazie per la bella recensione,è sempre un piacere rendere una serata cosi' piacevole per i miei commensali . Vi aspetto per un' altra bella serata di convivialita'.

A winery setting with friendly people. Suggest arrival at 2pm on a saturday and ask for antipasti in the tasting room. Good interpretations of all local grapes and sparkling wine and really excellent pastas, particularly the faro and calamari. Clean country contemporary, trust me on this interpretation, roomy tables and bucolic setting, admittedly overlooking the highway and commercial area from afar. Still worth finding, signs for it obvious when you are within shoutint distance.

I wanted to visit this restarant to try the pizza as the television advert fascinated me - my husband and i have decided after our beautiful experience that the next thing to try is definitely the food from the menue. This small restaurant which hosts 50 covers in total is very characteristic and covered in original works of local artists - the tables are well spaced and the atmosphere not only is relaxed and calm but is warm and welcoming. We sat down and were served immediately by a great owner and inventor of this amazing social project called Salvatore. I wanted to find out more about the social side of the restaurant and he explained that his idea in our area is unique. he offers the chance to young people with no homes or no work to start their career working in his restaurant and pays them accordingly - respecting their dignity and giving them a chance to experience hands on the restaurant and catering environment from table preparation to pizza making to the help in the kitchen - he is a great example of a man who has dedicated all his time to helping youngsters in life - he infact as a first occupation runs a home for abandoned children and young adults from the age of 11 to 18.Aside the social side of the business i can quite safely say that he knows how to run a restaurant - he took our order swiftly and we drank from cute terracotta cuplets with a terracotta jug that was filled with a good local house wine - we ordered pizzas and again were very satisfied at the speed of service - my husband had a pizza with mozzarella, gorgonzola, sausage and cream of red endive, i had a pizza cooked to special order as i have to have one cooked with no oil and with no cheese - there were no mistakes and it tasted absolutely lovely - onions, fresh mushrooms, rocket and tomatoes topped with broccoli rape - just to die for!! we enjoyed the pizza so much that we ordered another one of mine - my husband was bought to the table some "golden nectar! - an olive oil to pour on to his side of a shared pizza - delicious. The place filled quickly and all of the other diners had food from a very traditional and compact menue - ragu from naples, regional ragu sauces, wild boar and funghi porcini feature heavily also in the filled pastas - the house anti pasto is a delight for two people - fresh cold cuts and local cheese, hot and cold specialities and for two to share a huge portion of anti pasti it is only 15 eurosall the guests ordered the santi pasto, pasta courses and the angus sliced beef with either rocket and tomatoes or porcini mushrooms - the wine was flowing and the atmosphere was reaching a nice crescendo - the service kept it,s pace and we were served a house liquore to finish our excellent meal -all of this great food and wine for just euros 24 and we noticed that most of the bill was given to the server who obviously was delighted when we also left her a tipi will return - it is a social experience, a chance to talk about all things good in this life, a beautiful location, a great little secret garden candle lit and as romatic as you want it to beI thank Salvatore sincerely for offering his time to chat, offering his heart to the kids he helps and offering the public a good meal..........at a great price. Perfect recipe for life - well it does not get much tastier than this!!Rita and Gennaro.
