In an old wine cellar, it has a typical decoration but with charm. The fireplace in the living room creates a unique atmosphere. The typical Portuguese food with the best products of the region, from Roasted Cabrito, Fillets of octopus, cod with cheese fr
Ten years ago I first find this cozy restaurant in the Nelas center. I was pleased by the food and the friendship and smiles of the employees and owner.Ten years after, I find the same restaurant with the same good concept, great food, the tables of appetizers and desserts. And the same and great owner, Ana Isabel Raposo, a lady that is proud of her place and knows out to make her restaurant as our second home...

This restaurant is the premier eatery in the Global wine chain. I've Eaten much better at the other restaurants (Quinta do encontro andCabriz) I think the problem was the service ,not the food. The staff seemedTo be new at this. It's the smallest of the restaurants with the fewest tables. So, I don't know way the service was slow and uninformed. The Waiters at the other two places are friendly and well informed. We eatAt the Quinta do Encontro several times every summer, the staff knows us.From the beginning when they opened to the present they have not change Their service. I hope to visit them again in the future. Maybe things wellBe different. The price is a bit high for the service and food, that'sWay they need to improve.

Our group toured the Manor House, then enjoyed a Fantastic dinner pairing local foods and wines. Our ONLY disappointment was the meal took place in a large Banquet room set up for Huge groups, and it is modern and not part of the original Casa. We passed a lovely dining room inside thinking that is where we would dine, but I think that is probably for the Hotel guests. BUT, the service was exceptional, the Food was delicious and interesting. We had unique Potatoes mashed with Octopus, some delicious fresh fish, fantastic different wines served with each course ( and generously poured.) Too many courses to list. All presented artistically as well. A wonderful meal for sure.

Local restaurant inside of a traditional Winery in the center of the wine region of the Dão.
A breath of fresh air into the world of traditional Portuguese cuisine! It's not usual of me to rate something as Excellent but this restaurant IS one of those things. This is one of those places that is worth the extra mileage to get there.Outstanding food, warm and sympathetic staff, and a very well decorated but not overwhelming environment. Actually, the right balance between the traditional and the modern. All the dishes were remarkably cooked and seasoned. The wine (from the local cellar), a reserve red, was the perfect fit.Last but not certainly not the least, the desert. Two scoops of tangerine and green apple made it to the top! A must!

The food was perfect as always. We good there at 19:15 to secure a table on a friday night. We had the Nacos de Vitela and the Feijoada de Polvo, both were very very good! It is always a place to stop when in Viseu.
