Reviews on Mediterranean food in Maastricht, Limburg Province, The Netherlands. Touching Belgium on its west and just a few miles from Germany to the east, Maastricht is the capital of Holland’s southernmost region, Limburg. A town rich in history and culture, Maastricht boasts two wonderful town squares: Vrijthof, with Sint-Servaas Church, Sint-Jan's Cathedral and many bars, cafes and restaurants; and Markt, home to the town hall and, on Wednesday and Friday mornings, a fantastic vendor market. The city’s Vestigingswerken, or old town fortifications, are another big draw.

The onlu limitation of This place is that is only take away. Apart from this it was good, tasty and Italian style. You can take it and enjoy at home or somewhere. I'll suggest the bufala with hot salami

Went out not having any reservation, looking in town for a place to have dinner. Passing by we saw La Bodega and the menu looked interesting so we gave it a try. Was pretty crowded and could only get a table in the back of the restaurant which is not as privileged as being close to the action near the main area...Had various tapas and a bottle of red wine. More than enough to eat and drink for two, paid 75 E, reasonable for the wine & food we ordered.Looking at the rest of the menu I would call it a bit overpriced for what it offers, despite the fact that indeed various hamons deserve their price. Service was Ok, nothing exceptional but professional and polite. Was our first tapas restaurant in Maastricht so can't compare with any other similar rest in town, but overall I do not think taste wise anybody would be disappointed.

We went on a Sunday evening with the four of us. Great atmosphere, very friendly service and great quality pizzas and pastas. We had bruschetta and bread with garlic mayo as a starter and three times spaghetti carbonara and a pizza margarita as mains. A bootle of Chianti Classico for drinks. Lovely restaurant.

It is always a great pleasure to have dinner at Ristorante Mediterraneo ( written with double r). The welcoming is always warm and sincere. Staff is very friendly, hospitable professional (many years of experience) and atttentive. The menu list changes regurlarly and all dishes are very tasty, cooked with love. This time we had Vitello tonato, risotto with truffles, Branzini and cheese. You really do need to reserve a table, because it's always crowded, also on weekdays. Next time we are in Maastricht we will have dinner again in the Meditarreneo

We went for dinner to Gioâs again. As always it was very good. They have perfected the few dishes they serve and quality is perfect. Service as well, the team is very friendly. One point they could improve is what they serve for kids. It does not go further than tomato sauce pasta. Some creativity would be welcome.

Authentic turkish place which also serve italian dishes. We opted for the former and tried both their köfte and their falaffel. The köfte was quite nice, the falaffel a bit on the dry side. Which was more dissappointing was that the sauce that came with both dishes was prefab and not homemade. Both dishes were served with a fresh salad which was extremely boring (mostly lettuce and a few vits of tomato) and with nearly no dressing + a portion of french fries. They have a small selection of beers and house wine. The waitress was attentive and very nice.

The setting at vino and friends is super comfortable laid back and wonderful. We loved the atmosphere and being made to feel so welcome with our very young daughter who went nuts for their home baked bread. Though the pasta selection was small and simple, we utterly loved the ravioli that we chose and our waiter turned us onto a nice glass of white wine that paired perfectly with it. And to make matters even better they have a tastefully decorated outdoor area if you are lucky enough to get a table outside on a sunny day. We will most certainly come back next time for one of their gorgeous looking steaks and a nice chianti

Saw this restaurant with good reviews and pictures. Went there for a 4course surprise menu. Unfortunately really got disappointed. They used the same basis with tomato and onions in all the meals, except dessert. The main course was salty pork. Which was a shock. It tasted like they cooked up al the left overs. To bad, when you see the pictures on social media you get excited. However, paid to much for nothing much....

Meze Bar & Turkish Restaurant
There were good classical dishes, daring changes on classicals. But some experimenting was not advisable. Cocquille st jack with meat around with strong taste kills cocquille. Good guest service, ambition enough
