I'm not vegan, not even vegetarian, but I tagged along with my cousin to this all-vegan restaurant in La Spezia. Well. I should have known that once Italians tried their hands at vegan cooking, they'd knock it out of the park. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, with real attention to translating local culinary specialities into vegan versions. The service was attentive and friendly and helpful. If you get a table outside on a hot evening, it's a quiet little lane. They serve alcohol but unlike many Italian restaurants they'll had an interesting offer for non-alcoholic soft drink, again, a local speciality using the slightly bitter Italian orange. I'll attach a photo so you know what to ask for. Also, there were gluten free options, none of which seemed any less delicious.

Fantastic little restaurant, not far from Hotel Firenze e Continental. Great food, the chef (she) and (i think) the owner (photographed on their web page) are really friendly and chatted with me about my choices. He asked me all about my preferences befor
Lovely restaurant with nice, relaxed ambience and welcoming staff.Very good starters of Cappon Magro (a traditional fish and vegetable dish), and mezze maniche pasta with monte cimone parmesan cream, bacon and soft egg. My duck with caramelized oranges was also very good but the roast pork was uninteresting.

Locale aperto a febbraio sulle alture di La Spezia, veramente ottimo!!! Sono sicuro che se verrà inserito riceverà ottime recensioni.
Excellent food, very good service and unbeatable price. I was particularly impressed by the "Antipasti della Terra": about 8 delicious appetizers of typical local food. I am glad the waiter warned me that it was quite a lot of food. In fact I ordered only the appetizers and was more than enough, all at just 13 Euro. The pasta my wife and kinds had was also very good. Book in advance and, in Summer, select the terrace, as it might be too warm inside near the fireplace to cook the meat.

We have a restaurant where you can find the authenticity of its dishes in their simplicity.
We have been in Italy for the, last 3 weeks and were debating if tonightâs meal at Giardini Dei Glicini was our favourite. It definitely was a highlight for all of us. Not only were the dishes very tasty, but the presentation of the plates was very beautiful. The family treated us like gold as they seem to with all their visitors based on the various reviews. This restaurant may not be in the tourist part of the city, but we would highly recommend doing whatever you can to make it to their place. The seafood is so tasty and the prices are incredibly reasonable. We wish we could come again but our short time here wonât allow it.

Excellent service by the person in charge. Got just one portion first course and one portion second course to share with my partner and was served 2 portions of the first course. Upon checking, realised that they have plated it evenly into 2 half portions knowing that we are sharing it rather than serving just one big plate of it. Was pleasantly surprised that the service went to this 5 star standard. Thumbs up!!! Oh yes of course the food was impeccable as well. Would definitely come back to this restaurant the next time.

Alberto, the chef owner comes up with the most amazing food. Look at the photos, and you will see an artist/chef, creating food with imagination, style, and perfect combinations. You won't forget the Fiori di Zucca first course, nor the unbeatable egg in a parmesan crust with black truffles. Not to miss! And, don't forget the handsome Chef Albert and Davide, the delightful server.

What a find. A small place but served directly by the owner. He chatted to us about the wines and the area. What a nice experience. Drown in the Limoncello semifreddo. Nice, simple and very affordable.

A reservation is essential, as this restaurant is really small. My sister and I had a set menu consisting of 3 antipasti, a primi, secondi, dolce and cafe. Very good value for money and delicious food (all seafood). Aqua frizzante was on the house. Great wine at a very reasonable price.La Spezia is an ideal starting point for visiting the Cinque Terre. Our appartement was located just 300 meters fromPetronilla. In this neighbourhood you will find those typical Italian restaurants you were looking for: cheap, mainly locals and great food! Highly recommended!

If you are in Portovenere, you should definetely visit Il Timone. The location is great, not very crowded but nice view on the sea. The pizza's are all great (we tried a few), and also the local dishes like fried anchovis and farinata (chickpea pancakes) I can recommend. Friendly staff. Not very expensive.
