We had a great meal here. Party of 4 with no reservations. Just showed up and took a seat. The food was hands down the best we had in all of La Ciotat. Everything from the duck to the steak was cooked to perfection. The food was all reasonably priced and the house wines were a good deal. The staff was friendly and I really couldn't have been happier with our experience there.

Placed at the harbor this is a very good restaurant. The food is Italian inspired food, but with local ingredients. Very good.

We were lucky to secure a table on a busy Monday holiday, most tables were reserved. The restaurant seems to specialise in mussels which looked fabulous. We opted for fish, which was lovely, beautifully prepared moist to eat and not too many bones. Good service

We have never been disappointed. The food is always interesting and the service is attentive but invisible. We love both lunch and dinners here

Vin 7 is located with many other restaurants on the La Ciotat portside promenade.Service was attentive and the food good with a touch of imagination. On checking the bill I was surprised to see that we had been charged twice for both main meals which was corrected immediately - but should not have happened!

Chinese, Thai, Greek, Turkish, Southern Italian immigrants have often opened little restaurants in their adopted countries. With their hard work and passion, we are all the better for it. From the tempting window display of Italy's finest food products to the truly warm welcome inside, this Southern Italian family are great Ambassadors for their homeland. The menu is short, but everything is well prepared. There is a small, but quality selection of Italian wines. Trattorias aren't meant to be fancy. Serving the town-and not just tourists, their Italian dishes remind you of that country's culinary prowess. Their versions are very good, but not excellent. Perhaps the local produce and products aren't quite up to what you find in the old country. We have spent too much time in Italy (both North and South) to be fully satisfied. It's a cozy and nicely decorated little place on a tiny "vico" around the corner from the harbor. More representative (to us) of what we find in the North End of Boston or the South End of Springfield than the "old country", we still appreciate their efforts. The cooking is casalinga, perhaps in a pre-1970s time warp. It provides fair value and is a nice alternative to the local French repertoire.

The reviews were spot on, this was well worth the drive. Clean and cosy with outside tables too. Bad weather meant an indoor table but that didn't matter as the atmosphere was buzzing and diners were aplenty. We opted for fish and lamb plus tiramisu and the chocolate fondant which was everything I had read about and more. Local wine and excellent coffee to end a really lovely lunch. Attentive staff who went that extra mile to ensure we were well looked after. Language not a problem as they have English menus if you need them. If in La Ciotat do try this place but advise booking as it gets busy.
