Nice restaurant by the sea, with beautiful sunset. The restaurant is run by a very nice Greek-Italian couple, Gregory and Giuliana, both extremely nice, helpful and open to talk their guests, including telling all kinds of stories including about a small beach in the middle of the village, not known even to some locals (thanks, Gregory!). The food we had was very good (my wife and I shared an interesting starter and then Greek traditional kleftiko), accompanied with good wine. Very nice evening spent there thanks to our hosts!

If you were wondering what the Greeks eat at home, this is the place to visit. Traditional greek dishes based on seasonality, locality and freshness of ingredients. Caters for vegans and meat lovers alike. Excellent house wine. Reasonable prices. Family atmosphere. I would definitely recommend the "kipos pork", it is small bites of pork, no bones, slow cooked in honey and orange juice, served with rice. It's really the definition of "tenderness".

Saturday afternoon, walking in Kardamyli for the first time and got to this authentic restaurant . professionalism was everywhere - service , helping with choosing our meal, atmosphere and of course the food. Although tsaziki , Greek salad and other main courses are traditional and you can find them anywhere here they were just perfect. But above all the âMoussakaâ - you are not going to find anything like it! Dimitris the chef was kind enough to give us some tips about making it but not to expose his 2 generation of secret.Donât mis if you are around!

This is definitely our favourite restaurant in Kardamyli. Weâve been coming here for around 25 years and itâs been consistently excellent throughout. Our favourites are the goat and the stifado but the grills are consistently good too. This is delicious and authentic Greek food that never disappoints. Excellent prices and service too. Highly recommended!

Last here 2 years ago and loved the place. So delighted to be back three times this summer and each time the meals have been great. There is a menu but we have never seen it; owner tells you what dishes are available and offers guidance on selection should you need it. This year our favourites have been the simple but so tasty beetroot saled (with a little tadziki rather than the more traditional skordalia (garlic sauce)), superb stiphado, really great meatballs, stuffed aubergine with meat sauce and cheese. all topped off with the house desert which is a beautiful sort of upside down cheesecake - made with fruit, yoghurt and a crumble toping.setting is beautiful, service is great, food is really really good. Prices are not at all unreasonable - even though you don't know the costs (unless you ask or perhaps find the printed menu). Truly worth the short walk (5 to 10 mins) out from Kardamyli village.Hope to return next summer.

I chose this restaurant because of its spacious veranda overlooking the sea. The view certainly was nice. But the food and service leave room to be improved. I waited for 30 min for my food to arrive while there are not that many customers waiting. The daily fish was ok. It certainly didn't live up to the price. The fried zucchini croquettes was good. But anything fried can't be too wrong in my opinion. Overall, since I only stayed in town for one night and the dining experience was surprisingly mediocre, I suggest you should venture somewhere else if you don't have too much time experimenting.

Went to Dioskouri twice during a 6 day stay in Kardamili.Well prepared unpretentious typical taverna style greek cuisine. Very friendly and helpful service.Added bonus is the view. Probably the best taverna view in Kardamili - as it is slightly up the hill as the road runs south out of Kardamili.

situated inside an olive grove and next to the beach, one gets his expectations high... and one does not get disappointed. Service is pretty good and the food is excellent! We had moussaka, stuff from the grill, salads, starters, the whole lot. Also, there were no (nasty) surprises when the bill arrived :)

Amazing people, incredible food-with a sunset to die for. Sea front taverna, right on Ritsa Beach...
Gialos is well located at an easy road just outside the village.Good and free parking. The terrace can be windy and in cases chilly in early or late season. We had the tsipoura with greens and fried chips. Small ouzo to let the fish swim. Very tasty and fresh fish! Well seasoned and perfectly grilled. Would recommend the food as well as the lovely staff.

Amazing views, delicious food ,great wines and laid-back atmosphere meet in Tikla cuzina & wine bar. A warm welcome awaits you in a tranquil setting , perfect for any time of the day.
Evening dinner for 2. This is a really nice setting with views over the Kardamili Bay. The restaurant is exteremely well presented, candles, comfortable chairs, discreet jazz music - far above the standard of most casual restaurants in the local area. Food was imaginiative, althogh some dishes better than others. Tuna & salmon tartar was really good. The sea bass in celeriac puree sounded good but the portion size was very small (half a fillet!) and no potatoes or rice, and at â¬16.50 I thought expensive for the small amount of food served. Beef steak with oven potaoes was really substantial and good value for â¬13.50. Service was odd. They brought out our main courses before we were even half way through our starter (we sent it back for them to keep warm). One lady came out with a mop and bucket to clean the floor in the middle of service, strange sight in a restaurant of this type. When I asked for the bill I was told how much it was and then asked to come inside to pay by card. The â¬71 was entered into the card machine before I even saw the bill, a very strange procedure, maybe they thought I didn't want to check the bill first :)No house wine, please be aware of this. We chose a bottle of Prosecco â¬22.00 (it was very good), other wine was in the â¬15.00--â¬25.00, and greatly adds to the cost of the dining here given the more regualr â¬6/litre in other local restaurants. Maybe the wine menu could carry some more information about each wine - rather than a list of Greek names?Overall I'm giving this a 4 star based on a fine dining experience. With a few things fixed this could be a 5 Star experienceDear tedb635 , Thank you very much for taking the time and effort to share your comments and thoughts with us .We are glad to read your kind comments about the incredible view , the setting ,the ambience and the quality of the food.Regarding your comment about the billing process, it is a typical procedure for us but we are happy to assist with any questions or to correct any mistakes made . As far as it concerns the wine list ,the pricing is carefully made and is related to the wine cost and the operating costs of our business . We are proud for our wine selection, offering to our customers some of the top greek wines and for supporting the greek producers .The price of â¬6/litre you are referring to , most likely matches unlabeled house wine , which we strongly avoid . Please allow us to apologize for the inconvenience caused from poor communication during your dinner , we really try to prevent these kind of situations .As for the employer mopping , there has been a spilling , so there was no other solution than cleaning it :) We hope you will give us another chance in the future to offer you a 5 star experience !Kind regards , Tikla cuzina & wine bar
