I did my research on lunch spots before going to Piran. This place got great reviews and did not disappoint. There is a menu with descriptions of the dishes in English, making ordering a little easier. We loved the fried squid and grilled polenta. The order window added to the charm and a waitress came by for drink orders once seated. We really enjoyed dining outside in a casual atmosphere with delicious food.

a very nice restaurant, we had dinner outside, under the kiwi, our main was a seabass under salt, that is the best way to test the quality of the fish. It was really very good!Price within expectation, not cheap but in line with the quality of the food and a great service

Situated between two top class hotels, this restaurant served wonderful quality grilled fish. The fish was presented complete and de-boned and served by an experienced member of staff. Oh wait! There is something missing! This beautiful place should get at least 6 stars!The atmosphere was very homely, however with beautiful artwork in the newly renovated restaurant. The renovation was done in an innovative and signature style! The reception and service was cordial, so I felt at home immediately!Great cocktails! I had a refreshing gingery tasting drink that I had to reorder!The food was just simply out of this world! I have not eaten such good food for years!Watching the gifted and ingenious chef preparing the beautiful dishes was a treat! Each detail was meticulously and perfectly executed by the chef! The taste was even better! Everything was prepared freshly and with great passion and love! Great usage of spices! Loved the avocado and nectarine salad with fresh figs! What a great combination! The spices made the Aubergine tartar so special! The Portion of the lamb chops was huge! What a beautiful sight! The chops were cooked to perfection and tasted heavenly!The main dish was followed by a Devine dessert: a warm nut tart with homemade ice cream! I hope I can come back soon to enjoy more of this wonderful food! Snjezana and Thomas are a great Team! I wish them all the very best! I came for a good meal and found the best food in years and met friends!

I wandered into this restaurant for a late lunch after realizing that the restaurant in my hotel was already closed. I am a foodie from the San Francisco area and also travel quite a bit so I am used to world class food. This restaurant is incredible! It absolutely rivals Michelin star restaurants in the Bay Area. I was dining alone as my family was resting or swimming. I ordered the carpaccio with truffles and it was fantastic. The plate of carpaccio was set down in front of me and the waitress had a bowl of fresh truffles in her hand. She shaved a generous portion onto my carpaccio. Fresh truffles are amazing because the taste is much more subtle than truffle oil (which can be overwhelming). I also ordered sea bass with truffles which was almost too good for words. It was a genuinely memorable meal and the service was outstanding. The wine was great also. My meal was ended with a small glass of homemade creamy limoncello. I am already planning my return!

We spent 5 nights at Portoroz, and our last dinner here was in the Trattoria del Pescarote:Naturally, we've choosen seafood, what else?! It was excellent, fresh and tasty. The think, which was above our expextations was the service itself: Our waiter, Daniel was confident, professional and, of course very polite! Dear manager/owner: You have to take care that emploies like him!Besides, the wine (like every wine this country) was memorable too! We definitivley offer this restaurant, thanks for the positive memory!

When booking the table we knew that the restaurant had been ranked very high. Arriving, the exterior is extremely smart confirming you are about to experience above average offering. What comes as an unexpected surprise is the hospitality and the warm and genuine welcome of restaurant's staff. Which, interestingly, comprises of the owner and the family. The head, Fabrizio is the chef in charge of producing exciting and creative tasteful dishes. His father and wife take care of pampering the guests.As to the food: the Mediterranean, with the discrete twist of cuisine nouvelle. well presented and artistic. When you add the rich Wine List, your satisfaction is guaranteed.In closing, if around Umag area, don't leave the city before checking Pergola. Trust me!

The food was very tasty and varied. We had a slight misunderstanding and they solved it instantly. Location might not be the best but you forget that quickly because the atmosphere is nice. Feels genuine. Also as someone who always wears shorts and skirts, I was happy about the padding on my chair haha!

Last night I was dining in this restaurant and had such a good time. First of all the personal is very fast and friendly, next the ambient is very homey and make you feel welcome and relax. Food is amazing, all compliment to the chef! Very tasty in a good proportion you definitely will not stay hungry. The prices are low especially for such a high quality restaurant. All and all excellent restaurant lot of positive vibes and I will definitely make my way back there.
