The restaurant is within the walled city area, right near the Best Western Hotel - good Greek buffet at a low price
The restaurant was a few doors away from our hotel and had a great price for a Greek buffet. When we asked about it at the hotel, we were told that it wouldn't be "the best meal you ever had" but that the food was good and we couldn't beat the price. They were right: it's not gourmet fare, but there is quite a variety of choices, and the meal includes drinks, coffee and dessert, all for about $16. That's a real bargain in Sweden.

Happy to welcome these entrepreneurs in Kalmar! The service is quick and nice, although maybe the language can be a bit of a problem if you want to ask something. The food - typical Lebanese lunch, serves its purpose but nothing fancy.

Buffet: shrimps, salmon, calamari rings,meat-balls, duck, spring-roles, fantastic Greek salad, mushrooms, etc.Price: very reasonable for such a rich buffet. it;'s 40 % up on weekends.Nice staff. Desserts could have been better. In summer one can sit outside.Has nothing to do with Greek cuisine (with exception of greek salad) but the variety and quality of dishes is very high.

The restaurant has a nice terrace that overlooks the street, a great place for fresh air and people watching. Right on the main walking street in town. I had the eggplant moussaka, which was quite good, and my partner enjoyed the gyro with ajvar. Not sure how authentic it was, but it tasted delicious. Service was good, and I had no complaints.

A hidden gem in Kalmar. Kalmar Kolgrill is surrounded by tool-shops and car sellers but it is worth visiting. Food from the Mediterranean cuisine: Urfa Kebab, mixed grill, Köfte, lammracks and a lot more. Really nice staff..

I had seen the mixed reviews on this place and opted to give it shot anyway...only to walk away VERY disappointed. I had a pasta dish that was probably the most over cooked dish. The pasta was crunchy hard (seriously!!) and had a hard crust over the top. It was clearly a case where the dish was under the broiler for too long. A good place would have tossed it, told me they were going to redo my main, and then served me something that wasn't so tasteless. It was supposed to have sausage, but it was the equivalent of the meat you get in canned spaghetti and meatballs.Had it not been so late and I was tired, I would have sent the dish back to have they try again. This place has nice staff, good location and interesting decor, but LACKS good food.I didn't find it in any guide books (LP or Rick Steves), which might explain it.
