Reviews on Mediterranean food in Ipswich, England, United Kingdom. Ipswich (/ˈɪpswɪtʃ/ ( listen)) is the county town of Suffolk, England, located on the estuary of the River Orwell, about 60 miles (97 km) north east of London. The town has been continuously occupied since the Saxon period, and its port has been one of England's most important for the whole of its history.

Went there on a Sunday lunchtime having been to the burger restaurant which it used to be a few years back. As we were the only people in the restaurant I would have expected much better service. They seemed more interested in getting the takeaway orders ready for delivery. VERY slow service and one of the starters arrived with mains. Would hate to see what service was like if it was busy. Fortunately the food was pretty tasty and portion size good so all was not lost. Prices were reasonable but service really let it down.

Located a stone's throw from the Town Center we are most welcoming of locals, tourists, students and dogs with well behaved owners.
We booked the room upstairs for a birthday party and it was ideal. An intimate venue with seating, well stocked bar downstairs with friendly staff. We could play our own music and we're left to our own devices. Would recommend it.

We went here for a family meal with age range 17 to 72. It was a nice setting and atmosphere and agree with other reviews it would be a good date venue. We were a party of 10 and the resturant was almost full. Got the feeling they were understaffed as drinks etc took a while to arrive. Food pretty average but as I said a nice settingDear Costumer,Thanks so much for find the time to give us your opinion over the restaurant. Thanks for your kinds words ore the location. We are Italian and we try to give the best experience of Italian food and Italian atmosphere.I hope see you again.Best regardsFilippo

Ararat is a traditional Turkish restaurant which is located in Ipswich town on Norwich Road. We will be introducing you to delicious Turkish dishes.
Nothing was actually nasty, portions were generous, but tasteless. I love Turkish food but I could never have guessed it was Turkish, it was a huge disappointment. It was a Friday night and we were the only customers- I can see why! Only the pitta bread, the coffee, and the waitress were good. I had a Groupon voucher for '£73.00 worth, two course dinner for four': the fish dish photograph looked particularly good. However, instead of the menu we were offered a small plastic card labelled '2 COURSES FOR £12.99' with a choice of dishes cheaply made from about four types of vegetable and chicken or mince. I said I would have the fish on the voucher, but was told first they did not have it, then that it would cost £5.00 extra.I felt particularly sorry for the very nice waitress, who had to deal with my indignation, it was only her second night in the job, but the manager would not emerge to talk to me, only sent messages by her.I suppose that the moral is, don't trust Groupon, but I did check the reviews here, it seems they went to a quite different place to me: this is the first time I have not enjoyed Turkish food. I had invited friends and was mortified.we are sorry that you are unsatisfied on your visit. i am the manager which you mentioned on your review and i am terrible sorry to not emerge your table but reason of this i was cooking and on that time i was very busy with takeaway orders and we have a party upstairs.groupon deal on discription you can see which menu you can eat and that menu hasnt got any fish. we are happy to serve but groupon find it to expensive so they only choose that menu for groupon deal to make it cheap. unfortunatly in this case we couldnt serve you the fish. i havent heard what you spoke with my college but we have fish all the time and its clearly not including the deal. i will be really appreciated if you reconsider your review .as you can see from other review , we really care our customers and we want everyone left happy. again i do apoligies for your bad experience but please understand that we are happy to serve everyone and we always try to do our best for each customer .

Booked a table for a Friday night dinner at 7pm. Table was ready for us upon arrival and we were met by friendly staff.Food and drink orders taken quickly with no fuss, could swap rice for chips for with no problem.Food was cooked fresh from the kitchen we could see, it was delicious food, served hot and presented well. Good size portions too.Deserts were a bit lacking so we chose not to have any.Prices were more than reasonable. The only reason for 4 not a 5 was due to the incense sticks burning all night which were quite strong.

Booked a table for a family lunch - we arrived on time, we were very welcomed by the Ottoman Team. Had a mix starter plate and meze called PASHA - loving it, very tasty. We also ordered Chicken wings and Sizzling Lamb Chops as our main meals, so delicious - strongly recommended, outstanding service, definitely come back !!
