This visit to Crabtrees was our first since it opened. Mediterranean/American style is not my first choice for eating out. But to make the wife happy and our friend happy since it was her birthday and our 50th anniversary. The service is excellent with water being repeatedly refilled and the crumbs removed very quickly. The 1st thing that annoyed me was this pesky fly throughout the whole time we were at the table. No one is going take swats during a meal so I have no solution. The front door is constantly being opened. My 2nd problem (and I know it is my fault), was the vegetables. Each dish comes with mashed potato and a mix of vegetables like yellow and green zucchini, stringbeans, and pieces of broccoli(ugh) and some slices of beets (ugh 2).For starters our friend had the buratta salad and i shared the escargot with wifey. That came in the full shell on a plate of garlic sauce which is what makes this dish so good. For main course our friend had the darla's chicken, wife had the salmon and I had the porterhouse style 16 ounce pork chop. The chop was huge and covered with sauteed peppers and onions. The chop was very good but I probably would have been happier had I stuck with my first thought of getting 2 appetizers and a salad. I studied the menu and really wanted the calamari plate and the escargot with a salad.Appetizers and salads run from $11-15 while most main dishes run in the teens to 30+.When we arrived the place was not too filled but when we left on a Sunday nite , it was packed. If you are still hungry for dessert, get the gelato.

Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas

So disappointed! Our first visit to the Westbury location was when my family and I was invited here by my cousin in 2018. When we were seated, the chef came over to our table and I realized my cousin knew the chef. The chef recommended some items and we ordered some items. All was absolutely delicious! In January, we returned, for lunch, thinking we would have the same level of quality and service. My wife and I had the BBQ Pork and my son, the Spuntino Burger, along with other items. WE WERE NOT IMPPRESSED! There was hardly any pork on the bun and what was on it, was fat, which we removed. It was not only my BBQ Pork but also, my wife’s. The side or salad as we were told, was chick peas. Nothing wrong with the chick peas but the quantity looked like it was about 2 table spoons. For $14, one would expect a good quantity. As for my son’s burger, it was over cooked and dry. Overall, the food appeared to be put together in a hurry with whatever was left over. Visually, it was not impressive nor did it taste like there was some thought put into it. A restaurant should always have consistency in the quality of its food.Hello, we are disappointed to hear about your recent lunch visit with us as it certainly wasn’t up to our standards. If you’d please private message us your phone number our general manager would love to reach out!

My wife and I had dinner here recently. Décor nothing special, and plastic menus don't add anything, but the food was quite good. Nice choices of shish kabob that are flavorful. Bread delicious. Chicken soup "interesting" (tomato based). Service fair.

Authentic food (not American Greek type of food), nice wife n husband owner who want to serve real Greek food here. It's a small take out/self serving, but they do have a few tables. Clean bathroom. If you're in the neighborhood, try it. Street parking or in rare.

Located in the shopping center where uncle Giuseppe’s is located, this little neighborhood gem is tucked away and can be easily missed. The staff is friendly and accommodating (much more than the Merrick location). The pita basket is generous with a minty tahini sauce. It’s filled again upon request.Hummus is fresh, the Sambuseh are a delectable treat, crispy dumplings filled with chick pea mash. Even the dolmen, stuffed grape leaves, were tender and not stringy or tough. The salmon shish kebob is garlicky and moist. The brown rice is addicting. More than I can ever finish. Last visit my husband ordered the lamb kebob and was not disappointed, a little over cooked but still tender and flavorful. The Persian tea is spicy and aromatic. Skip the desserts, they need an upgrade, especially the baklava that is too dry.
