The Market Place is a cosy restaurant, with a an international ambiance and flavour. It was opened in 2011 when chef Davide Maci returned from an intense London experience. The Market Place cuisine is based on simple ingredients, searched for every day wi
I was disappointed in the the entire experience. I think they are trying too hard to be something they just are not. This is a restaurant with paying customers, they should make you feel welcome, but unfortunately, the seem somewhat stuck on themselves and the "experience", which was below par. They are all about the presentation, but the food was really just (below) average. The ambiance is sparse, minimalist, they offer just four different cocktails....that's right, you can only order one of the four that they offer. Wine list is extremely small, with a big emphasis on one particular winery. Prices on wine were not cheap, but fair. At the end of the night, I must say it was not anything I would ever recommend or go back to

We have looked at this restaurant for some time and happily finally got there. The waitress, who I assume is the owner, is very informative and rightly clearly proud of her menu. We started with lardo with chestnuts and honey and a bacala/potato plate. Both were delicious. For primi we had a gnocchi cooked with a delicious cheese and a pasta again both were faultless and for a secondi I had tartar which was again presented well and most enjoyable. I wish the website was better as I could do the dishes more justice with their correct names and ingredients. The restaurant was full and I suspect it often is as and there is a young man assisting the owner who should be empowered to do a little more perhaps taking responsibility for desserts and coffees allowing her to spend more time with the tables who are ordering.A very nice dinner in a very nice restaurant with jazz in the background, we will undoubtedly return.....Not a place to take young children!

Worth a 20 minute walk from the centre for some of the most delicious and filling food that Como has to offer Every course is super generous, so beware the starter of antipasto which is for one person apparently! The pasta is incredible and the osso buco is to die for. No need to ever eat again Worth making a booking for as it's totally always full

Nel centro di Como dal 04 Maggio 2018 il nuovo ristorante di tradizione italiana con selezione Vegetariana | Vegana In cucina i migliori chef.
My husband and I came here on Monday night during our lake como visit. The restaurant has a very cute, family, cozy atmosphere. The other customers seem to be local rather than tourists. We ordered two pasta dishes and another secondi dish, and we LOVED their pasta. I LOVE pasta and I sometimes find pasta too salty, but not this one. It was al Dante and the sauce was amazing. It was actually one of the best that Iâve ever had. I am still thinking about it today. Also, the owner and the waiter (not sure if it was his son) was very kind and the service was great.Highly recommend this place!

I had been to this restaurant for the first time at least one year ago, when they had just opened. Now, I can see their level of cuisine and service have improved a lot: some classics of Puglia cuisine revisited with creativity, very interesting menu from starters to desserts, good selection of wine and a vey tasteful decor from Puglia. Kind and prepared staff. It is not cheap but definitely good value for money, we spent 45 euro each but for a complete menu, starter, main, dessert and glass of wine.

You recognise the situation? You make a stop over and decide to sleep in a decent yet inexpensive hotel (IBIS Como in our case). Then, you look for a good restaurant nearby. We found l'Osteria del Pettirosso on Tripadvisor and the comments seemed all right. We went for fish and had 2 antipasti, 2 secondi and 2 desserts. Topped with water and an excellent wine. 109 Euro was well spent on a gorgeous meal, beautifully presented.Portions are not very large, yet more than enough; you leave the table completely happy.Whilst we enjoyed the food, we loved the wine as well: a Roero Arneis of Giovanni Almondo (Bricco delle Ciliegie) at an incredibly decent price. The restaurant is divided into a couple of smaller rooms which makes that it is quite intimate and not noisy at all (we are in Italy!). We were seated close to the kitchen and the whole evening we saw plates being served, all of them equally beautiful.Although we had never been there before, the owner (cook) and the lady of the house as well as the waiter took time to have a chat with us.We will definitely return there for more discoveries.

An elegant space where inside you can experience four different thoughts, a delicious Fine Food Restaurant with typical italian flavors that tantalize the palate accompanying you at different times of the day; meeting place, work, meet and relax, where th
Came here on the recommendation of Tripadvisor. It's a large restaurant with a very contemporary feel. There was a promotion offering 20% off if you booked through the "fork" platform. Staff very friendly and efficient yet relaxed. The food was very well cooked and tasty - I had spaghetti with large succulent prawns. It wasn't very busy which was a shame but it was Halloween so perhaps people were at parties etc. Very impressive Halloween theming especially the huge plasma screens. I'd highly recommend this place - welcoming, unpretentious and reasonably priced
