There is no doubt this is one of the best place if you want to eat italian in the area. The pasta's are truly delicious and like it always should be... like in Italy! The wine selection is very good but I'm always sad to see that even such a place that presents itself like a wine bar brings you the glass with the wine instead of pouring it in your glass at the table... so, if ever the waiter made a mistake and poured you an Orvieto instead of a Pinot Grigio you may be deceived or surprised by the wine you are actually drinking. I believe this is a real problem that can be seen worldwide except in NY where customers are aware and would never accept this. I don't say this did happen to us but I say that if you are a true serious wine bar you MUST pour the wine at the table with the bottle so that the customer can see it. That's a minimum request but it's a serious one. Waiters were very friendly; central location is perfect and the decoration all in wood is pretty charming with a fantastic choice of great wines by the bottle (and a lot of stunning Magnums!). It is a small but lovely restaurant. Prices are in accordance with the quality. So it's not cheap but it's right.

Had dinner here with business partners during a recent business trip to St Gallen on recommendation of the company we were visiting. The food was absolutely fantastic, the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. One person had beef, I had shrimp and scallops with rice, and my other companion had the Tuna steak with veggies. everything was great. They have a large selection of wine and liquor too. We started with a variety of tapas which were also wonderful. Overall it was a wonderful experience and the location was right around the corner from our hotel.

We dropped in for lunch after visiting the Abbey library. The focaccias were fresh and what made it so pleasant were the friendly staff, who took the time to suggest the right flavour combinations. We sat in the garden at the back of the first floor - peaceful and relaxing.HelloThank you for your nice rating. We look forward to your next visit in the focacceria in St.Gallen.

In 2006 started the undertaking of opening up an âurban barbecue placeâ in the history-charged, former free zone warehouse in the city of St.Gallen. After almost two years of planning, the Restaurant Lager- haus was finally opened in October 2007. Since O
Second time at this restaurant and both times were really average. Food is not so tasty, lousy whiskey selection and cold atmosphere. Will not be back.

Weekend evening meals in Herisau are not easy to come by but we were recommended to try Il Pomodoro and were very pleased indeed. The staff were welcoming, the food and wine great. On a warm summer evening we had a table in the conservatory, which is bright and light, but inside the restaurant itself looked very warm and cosy and must be especially inviting when the weather is poor. If we ever find ourselves in need of a meal in Herisau again, the Il Pomodoro will be the place we return to.

The Food not only tasted delicious, but it also looked extremely appetizing. The cook came to ask us personally if the Food was good and we complimented his work. The waitress, who was very friendly, showed us the rest of the Restaurant, including the wine cellar, that Looks like a New York jazz Club. Love it! You can have a wine-tasting Event downstairs. There's also a separate room for cigar smokers - very English. You can also eat outside. There are plenty of parking spaces infront of the Restaurant. I'd highy recommend this Restaurant to anyone who is loooking for great Food. The only negative Thing I can mention is that the Price is quite high - but you definitely get your money's worth.

Just like 90% of Italian restaurants outside Italy, this place would close in 3 months if located anywhere in Italy.I tried a vegetarian pizza and I found on it quite a few things that I've honestly never seen on an authentic Italian pizza, like broccoli and spinach, while none of the regular veggie items where present (onions, peppers, eggplants). Also, I'd be curious to know what kind of yeast has been used to get a pasta so little leavened. My colleague went for some kind of factory-made tortelli which were swimming in a super-liquid panna. He didn't complain though. But luckily I found something really Italian: when some friends of the owner arrived for dinner (around 15 minutes later than me), they got the best table and received their pizza right away, while I was still waiting for mine.I won't talk about the price: my pay is in Euros so I'm a bit sensitive about this topic. No wifi available, just in case.Dear Redflix,Thank you for your review about our Ristorante. First of all we want to apologize wholeheartedly to you for this unsatisfactory visit to La Pergola. We have been a successful business for over 30 years now and have a broad and loyal customer base. We are proud of how many satisfied customers we serve in our Ristorante every day. While we take your review seriously and will use it for further improvements of our restaurant, we also want to point out that, especially when it comes to food, there are just so many different tastes. Case in point is our vegetarian pizza here. There is no standard recipe for a vegetarian pizza. We make it based on the season and availability of the vegetables and that is why it can be different from what you know as vegetarian pizza. Also there are different styles of how to make a pizza. Our pizza is based on the roman pizza style and not what you refer to as an unleavened pizza dough. All of our doughs ferment for 24 hours before they are ready to be used. Having said that, we hope you will have a better time on your next visit to our Ristorante La Pergola.Tanti cari saluti,Roberto Cavaliere
