We went from Giardini Naxos to eat here, as we read positive reviews on this place. After we drove all the way there about 30 minutes, we finally managed to reach this place by foot, as it is not accessible by car. When we entred the restaurant, we were welcomed by the host, I uess it might be the famous Simona, that told us that she cannot receive us as she was cooking only for groups and pople who booked a table on the phone. The place was emoty and there was only a table taken, with about 8 people. Today is Sunday the 9th of September. We arrived there around 8,30 pm.So, we left shocked by the rudeness and the agresivit of the host. By he way, as i speak perfect Italian, the lady thought we were Italians, so nothing to do with the fact we were foreigners.I will definitely not go there anymore, and advice everyone to refrain from it. We were actually lucky as we went to another great place where we had divine food - Il Priore de Gaetano, for which I wrote its review apart.

We visit forza dâagro in the late afternoon and we spend the evening there. We have such an amazing experience at Osteria Agostiniana the waitress who served us was brilliant, THANK YOU MARIA YOU ARE A STAR.The set menu options was unbelievable no stop food, I had to stop them as I couldn't eat anymore.Excellent quality of the sea food and also the staff was very accomodating with my partner which is a funny vegetarian and they invented a veg set menu for her too. Really great value for money .Thank you guys we had great time and we can't wait to come to you again.Antonio & Lucy

Went there with my family for Easter lunch. The menu was set as loads of these places do during holiday periods. The food served was a lot but the quality and the variety of the foods was poor and I wasn't impressed at all. I believe this is due to the fact that there are very busy during the main festivities. Stuff was very friendly.

Terraced restaurant with an amazing view of the coastline, the ambiance is typical of a trattoria, the food is average and so the service. Be very careful at where you park and make sure that the vehicle is within blue lines, in right direction and to have a valid parking ticket as the local traffic wardens are giving fines very easily.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our quick lunch here at Antica Muri. The owners were gracious and welcoming & the pizza was fantastic. We are a lot of pizza in this trip (Venice, Rome, Amalfi) & this was, hands down my favorite. For dessert some yummy cannoli. You canât do better.

Whilst clearly well established this small, friendly, family run restaurant has recently had the disadvantage of being affected by a new road and a big, ugly restaurant catering to tour buses on the edge of Forza d'Agro. As you drive up into the town it is all too easy to miss 'O Dammuseddu which would be a terrible shame as the food there is excellent. So you don't miss it - as you go up the hill the new road turns to the right; there is a vast restaurant called Il Padrino on the right (all black and red you can't miss it) and 'O Dammuseddu is on the left straight ahead but where there is a No Entry sign! Abandon your car and walk there. It really is worth it. The food is freshly cooked from local produce and is absolutely delicious. You can eat outside on the covered terrace or inside in a small but spotlessly clean restaurant. But be warned - the portions are very generous. We had an antipasti between two of us which was more than enough and we wish we had ordered just one mushroom risotto between the two of us rather than one each. It was such a shame to leave anything as it was so tasty.... but be sure to leave room for a selection of small pastries!

This was recommended by our tour guide on a "Godfather Tour" in Sicily. Forza d'Agro was one of the villages visited and where we had our lunch break. We were not disappointed. My wife opted for the set menu of the day, the main course being lasagne, and pronounced it excellent. I chose the cheese omelette, which was also very good (surpassed only by my wife's home cooked version!). The service was friendly and efficient; and the ambience was very pleasant.

The only place we ate at twice. The service was excellent and we only ended up here because we couldnât get in to the very over rated and disappointing restaurant next door with the queue. What a result! First time we had the beef fillet with cheese fondue. Oh my god. No steak knife needed. Next visit I had the Vongole. By far the best Iâd ever had. The wine was food. The bread was beautiful and fresh. Honestly, donât miss this place out. Excellent. Giuseppe e Patrizia

Settled on the popular Villa Ducale terrace with Taormina best sea and Mount Etna view, our restaurant features a typical Mediterranean and Sicilian cuisine with elegance and charm.Feel relaxed in a beautiful ambience and enjoy a great atmosphere with nat
We stopped for lunch, yes the Etna view is beautiful, the staff were friendly however the food was horrible. The pasta dish was packet pasta, they told us it was good quality packet pasta though! We were very disappointed and left feeling hungry and dissatisfied The Best part of the place was the viewDear Justyna,I am sorry to read this comment.Obviously, there is a language/knowledge barrier. I will try again to provide a briefly/synthetic explaination in the hope that you will have future wonderful meals in Italy.1) Pasta = all types of pastas, ingredients, shapes and sizes "spaghetti, pennette, etc."2) Dried Pasta "allâuovo" (made with eggs) comes in a package3) Craft made pasta allâuovo âpasta frescaâ (home made with eggs) â it can be in a package4) Dried pasta made with just water and flower (comes in a package) 5) Craft made pasta made with just water and flower âpasta frescaâ â It can be in a packageThen you have all of the processed ones (frozen, etc.) which you might find in many bars âtouristicâ restaurants, airports fast foodâ¦â¦In our Hotel we use both Dried pasta (as 99% of the restaurants in Italy) On out evening menu you can find both dried and craft madeIn both cases is freshly made/cooked for you (some restaurant would also pre-cook the pasta). We have a small kitchen and only 12 table everything is cooked espresso for our guests we do not use processed food, we take care of all the preparation. We can specifically prepare a requested type of âpasta frescaâ craft made pasta which is not on our menu with a one day notice. We love to personalize meals.I hope that this explanation will make you reconsider your comment and to see you again in the future.Kind regardsPaolo Ferrari, Manager Hotel Villa Ducale Taormina's Boutique HotelPart of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World
