Things to do in Formigal
An excellent atmosphere will transport you to the most authentic Italy in this restaurant that offers all the variety of Italian dishes and desserts, from pastas, rissoto, pizzas to meat dishes or Italian-style fish.

If you want to eat very fat but fast and efficient, without being too much demanding on quality of service, food or simply menu, you can go there!... This restaurant seems on the other hand very popular but frankly, there are some other, less simple but far better for the same price... it can change for once but it's sad for Spanish cuisine!

Family owned and operated into its third generation, they make you feel truly at home. Great quality ingredients, fantastic cooking, courteous and attentive service, a great wine selection, touching on all the major Spanish regions. Truly recommended for people who know how to appreciate the fine things in life. This is not your place to just wolf down a sandwhich after skiing. Just take it easy and enjoy great food and wine in good company, while you are treated like family (royal family).

In place of the old Nordheim nightclub we discovered Cellisca this year. This is probably one of the more expensive restaurants in the area but you get what you pay for.Every aspect of our visit was excellent: modern decor, great service, a decent wine selection and, of course, delicious food. We will surely return to dine at Cellisca next year.

Enjoyed pasta and pizza in this lively and family friendly restaurant. Just what we needed after a long day climbing ski slopes above Panticosa. Recommended red wine was excellent and chef's special pasta was simple (as good pasta should be) and very tasty with salty eel like fish. Home made tiramisu nice way to finish. We even picked up some walking tips and Spanish idioms! Great service! (Watch the card machine as it offered bill in £ sterling. First time in almost two weeks and I forgot to select eurosmy fault though - too much red wine)

It is tricky to find a restaurant open in this lovely village out of season, so we were very pleased to find this place open on a Monday evening in early June. It is near the car park at the lower end of village, next to the stream. And we got a warm welcome too, both from the helpful owner, and the open fire! Plenty of choice on the three course menu, 20 Euros with wine and water, and all very tasty. We had a nice chat after the meal with the owner about the Spanish 'digestivos' which he was keen to explain and offer me a sample, and we left full and happy.

We visited here each night as part of the deal with our hotel, whilst staying in Sallent de Gallego. We were greeted warmly each evening by the friendly owners who spoke excellent English but were happy to speak Spanish to our friend who is learning the language. The food is excellent and in fact it got better and better each night. It was cooked with care and served with great pride. The portions are large and there is a good selection. We looked forward to our meals each evening. We were looked after extremely well, and towards the end of our visit were given extra treats and special dishes. It was a nice touch that the owner came out of the kitchen to check that we were happy with our meals. If you're going to Sallent de Gallego be sure to visit this restaurant.

Family restaurant with a menu carefully. All dishes are prepared in a home. Meat is our specialty, from grass-fed cows. Delicious desserts made ââwith fresh milk and eggs from our chickens. Wide variety of dishes for celiacs. Perfect for couples and group
I just left the restaurant and I had to review their meal. Their 15⬠set menu including wine is really good. The staff is very friendly. I will be back for sure.

To cut to the chase, we would not return to Vidocq. Ever. Maybe if someone else were paying. Maybe. This is a hard review to write because of "overall ratings," as there was an unevenness in our experience. So here goes: The restaurant is lovely, the service, attentive and professional. In the bouillabaisse-style soup (main course), the fish was overcooked, but the flavors were delicious. We remember it as costing close to 20 Euro. (If it were half that, actually, we would return.) Our entrecote, despite ordering it medium, returned rare. After sending it back it was still redder than medium rare. But the worst was the cut: it had not been trimmed that we could discern: fat everywhere, through and around. It was chewy and inedible. We'd looked forward to this dinner, recommended to us by locals as the place to celebrate our twentieth wedding anniversary. Thank goodness for fine wine.
