Relaxed dining beside The Moor in the heart of Falmouth. Independently run bistro, offering freshly prepared, homemade pizza, pasta, Cornish seafood and home made ice-creams. Lunchtime snacks to take away include homemade focaccia and deep base pizzas. A
This place is delightful. Small family run atmosphere with professional service and great food. We booked a table and glad we did because it was busy. Clean and pretty with nicely presented drinks and starters. Pizzas were some of the best we have had outside Italy. Well done Mangia you are winning

we visited this restaurant twice whilst in falmouth, on the first occasion we were in the main happy with the food although there was a delay on one of the tapas dishes turning up to the point where we were about to pay when it arrived, we had assumed it had been forgotten but anyway not a problem..so we went back again a few nights later and didnt have such a good experience in that the tapas my wife ordered all arrived in a timely fashion which she obviously needed to eat whilst still hot, however i didnt receive the tapas i had ordered till 20 minutes after she had eaten hers , i did enquire as to where my dishes were and the reply was that "this is how tapas works and the chef cooks it when he can"...so in effect we had a disjointed meal eating at different times which we didnt feel was acceptable ..it was a shame as having visited a second time we had hoped for better service..It is with great shame that I read your review as we try our utmost to make sure all of our customers have a great experience with us.From reading your review, it seems that the main reason for you not enjoying your visit was that the food (Tapas dishes) came out one by one and you were not sharing the dishes with your wife. Thus the dishes she choose came out first and the ones you wanted came out later. Tapas should be served dish at a time (as stated on our menu), sometimes two and for sharing. We don't send out dishes all together as this is not how Traditional Tapas works or a kitchen could cope. If you had informed us that you were not sharing we could have tried to send a little of each out so you could have both dined at the same time (this does not always work when very busy though - we try). I thank you for dining with us and hope you will give us another go.Best regardsMike.

Early April, early evening the restaurant was unheated and chilly but as more people arrived it warmed up. The music was initially rather intrusive and repetitive but this improved too as it was turned down. Decor is rather spartan and it is rather dark inside. Overall service was pleasant though a little absent at times. The Spanish house wine at £18 was pretty vile. Being a couple of cheapskates we often opt for the cheapest, but at £18 we expected something drinkable. The house home made bread was also awful, tasteless, limp, crumbly and doughy, they took it off the bill when I fed this back at the end . I wanted to mop up the sauces but the bread was so horrible it was difficult to achieve this. This took away from the enjoyment of the meal. Overall the tapas which were all chosen from the specials board were a mixed bunch. The chorizo which was first out was excellent, the beef shank in red wine was good and the scallop dish pretty yum yum. Less impressive was the rubbery chicken in a mediocre garlic sauce and the baby squid which was mainly batter and lacking any flavouring. Portions are generous. We paid £55 before tip. I have scored this a three, my partner wanted to score it a two. He complained about the wine more than I did which was a bit silly as he had been given it to taste at the beginning and he said it was fine. So to be fair to the restaurant they did not get the opportunity to change it.

We Serve simple rustic fresh Tapas with a fusion of classic mediterranean cooking and fresh local Cornish sea food and ingredients located next to one of the main harbours in Falmouth if you chose to sit out side in the sun you can enjoy the scenic views
Lemon twist matches perfectly with the atmosphere and attitude of Falmouth. The staff were laid back but attentive and professional. The prices matched what we received. Bacon sandwich, juicy bacon, inch thick cut sourdough bread crispy, fluffy and light. My wife had smoked salmon, scrambled egg on sourdough toast (obviously I had some) the chef knows his/her way around an egg creamy, cooked perfectly and just the right amount of seasoning. All in it was a lovely experience and next time we are in Falmouth we will be visiting again. Thanks lemon twist for having us!!Thank you very much for the review! Look forward to serving you again soon!

Stunning views over Gyllyngdune Gardens and Falmouth Bay provide the perfect accompaniment to lunch or dinner when dining in The Garden Room Bar & Bistro. Reserve a table for lunch or dinner, drop in for coffee and cake or just come and have a nosey one s
Came for dinner on Bank Holiday Monday with family, it was very quiet considering it was half-term. The food is always excellent, not ordinary pub grub, but really tasty dishes with great vegetables. Service is always good. Can't understand why it was not busier, I don't think holiday makers know about it as it is not advertised much (this can be a good thing as service is quicker)
