A very nice restaurant with excellent food and service. Price level is good and so is the quality of the food. We had dinner for 19 persons. Everybody very pleased. The local wine included in the menu was good!A place I would like to visit also in the future.

The Molino dâEra is the perfect rest stop at a strategic location just kilometers from Volterra and San Gimignano. Our guests enjoy the opportunity to stay in a recently renovated early 18th century facility with a large garden overlooking the river and t
Had the lasagne, good value and very filling after along day out. Girlfriend had the house white, very fruity and well recommended enough to drink half a litre of it. Lovely bread basket too. Thank's so much for tasting the lasagne in our house :-) hope to see you next

I think a fairly new venture but despite small menu really lovely. House red and white wine very drinkable, lovely service and well cooked simple menu. Our total lack of Italian was managed with charm and the food we chose delizio Don't expect 5 star food but do enjoy a 5 star local rustic experience- thank you

During our holiday in August 2016, we celebrated our wedding anniversary at this superb location. The very charmant host Paolo cooks definitely with love. Antipasti, primi, secondi, principale, dolce ... everything was excellent! As a proper chef he joined us at table, explaining the choice of menu. Paolo offers a choice of 2 dishes during every course. Vegi? No problem ... Paolo adapts on the fly. So if you have the chance to spent some time in Toscane, please visit Paolo and sent him our regards.

After driving up unfamiliar winding hilly roads with sharp turns from our hotel in a rental car, we almost got stuck in the very narrow alley leading to the restaurant in the dark, quiet, practically deserted town on this Tuesday evening. We found the hard way that apparently the only way to reach it was to park in the public lot a short distance downhill and hike up. Notwithstanding the scary experience, we were glad we made it to this charming little restaurant safely for early dinner, however. The interior with 7-8 tables was cheerful, and tastefully decorated. We appreciated the artful, eye-pleasing and meticulous presentation of the dishes, and the privacy of our table. The hostess was attentive and gracious. We were impressed by the cleverly plated vegetables that playfully resembled colorful âsushiâsâ and a refreshing iceberg lettuce salad served in elegant chinaware. The bolognese pasta was well-seasoned and tasty; the cod was moist and delicious; and the sliced beef was tender. We loved the Rose from a neighborhood vineyard. The sweet desserts rounded out an enjoyable meal. We got to admire the lit tall church tower in the town square nearby before heading back.

Food & wine shop... we have a small inner room where you can taste cold cuts and cheeses, crostini with truffle, pistachio, almond, hazelnut and others ... possibility of pasta dishes ready in two minutes but not made by us! They are fresh, not frozen, in
This lovely restaurant in Peccioli could not be more charming, hospitable and delicious. The owner, Francesco, and the staff are very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable about the food they serve, the olive oil that is sold there, the cheese, the salami, and of course, the wine. Thy also sell a nice variety of Tuscan spreads, oil, cheeses and salamis. You will definitely feel like a local, and may not want to leave. My personal favorite is the Truffle spread, but there are many more to try. Don't miss it.Thanks Pam, it was really nice for us too.as I told you...THIS IS OUR WAY ;)

Booked a month before we went and confirmed swiftly. Hand written menu choices, lovely service and wine and the food was so tasty, true Tuscan and had a real home cooked feel to it. Very busy restaurant which is a great sign so you must book.Had most dishes and all equally delicious. Wild boar, veal, pasta with sausage and pepperoni and sliced beefTiramisu and ice cream went down a treat for dessert Highly recommendLovely seating in the square at Lajatico. Unspoilt Italy

If you are in the Lajatico area this well kept restaurant is definitely worth a visit. We visited twice during our stay and both times the meal was very good. I would described the food as modern Italian ie not rustic. Food is well presented and tasteful. Service is professional and prompt.Dear Ellie,Thank you for your positive feedback, we are delighted that you liked the Officine! We hope you will visit us again soon! This restaurant was recommended by our hosts when we were visiting the area, so we visited for an early evening meal (by Italian standards at least). The staff were just finishing up a wedding reception and told us the restaurant couldn't serve us for another 45 minutes to an hour, but we could have drinks in the bar/farm shop. We went ahead and did that and watched a beautiful sunset from their outdoor area. The view was magnificent! Sitting down to dinner later, we basically ordered antipasti to share (both the meat and vegetarian ones based on recommendation), pastas and main courses. We were impressed by the huge antipasti plates and wide variety of items. The explanations of all the items were offered in English and gave us tastes of Tuscany we would have never ordered on our own. The pasta came and was all prepared fresh, with HUGE portions. (This was definitely the largest portions we'd had while visiting Tuscany). Each pasta was definitely unique and had robust flavors, making you want to eat more. Our meat selections were also delicious and large portions. After all of that food, there sadly wasn't any room for desert.

Consiglio vivamente.
