The food at Comptoir is fresh, healthy, honest and affordable. Comptoir wakes up early to provide customers with unique Lebanese breakfasts to eat in or take away; offering everything from organic yoghurt topped with pomegranate and orange blossom water,
Never had the pleasure of eating at Comptoir Libanais until two Muslim friends arrived and their menu appeared on the Google halal recommendation. The three of us had the most incredible evening meals, my lamb dish was amazing, incredibly succulent & tasty. Staff were attentive and efficient, we waited very little time for our food and the drinks were excellent as were the prices. I'd definitely recommend this place for a wonderful evening meal, even a decent lunchtime or daytime meal, the atmosphere is great as is the location in the city centre. I'll be returning with other guests in future for certain.

A university city with all the usual chains represented and then we spy Al-Farid. It is a little difficult to make a decision about eating here as a tight entrance and stairs make for an unsettling start. Once over that the place is a gem as regards the decor. The service is good and now to the all important food. I had beef tagine and my wife had aubergine with chick peas and a salad. We shared a bread and hummus dip to start. We rated it all as excellent.

Came here on a recommendation and had a Turkish mezze salad. There's an excellent range of GF food, and just a simple salad is amazing! There are so many things to try on the menu and it's good tasty authentic food. It's not a children's restaurant and it has nothing to do with Dinosaurs! We happily got fed and enjoyed the easy cafe feel to it.
