We attended in a Saturday night without reservation, although it was really busy and tables reserved they still found a table for us. Service was brilliant and they bring out bread, olives, sausage and cured ham before we even ordered. Our chosen dishes of steak and ribs were delightful. Really tasty and plentiful. Wine was very nice too. I would definitely recommend a visit here. Excellent restaurant xxx

Very fresh fish and seafood, in a cozy and familiar location near the Sea, in Apulia.Furthermore, they know how to deal with eat. In several ways. You can let them choose for you. Trust is the word.A fantastic experience, for a very reasonable price. The service is very good and polite.

Although our hake and cod wasn't the best we've had, it came with great mashed potato and was preceded by tasty tapas beforehand with our house wine. It's the atmosphere and friendly service that was best and if it's warm enough you can sit outside in a beautiful plaza and sparkling yacht fountain.

The superlatives I'm searching for are for "bland", "tasteless ", "mediocre", and "appalling".I do not think I've ever been so disappointed with an eating experience, and I really mean ever.Granted, the price would have been reasonable if, and that's a big if, the food had been remotely edible. That's it for the plus side.My green soup starter was reminiscent of very stale dishwater. Mind you, the bread rolls were fine - but I suspect the cook, (I couldn't possibly dignify him or her with the designation of "chef"), had nothing to do with them, at least. Now, I'm aware that what is essentially a cabbage soup takes a great deal of skill to make it palatable, and this novice attempt was nowhere near a pass mark, so let's move on to my main course of brioche de veau.I think I was served a skewer of the only veal calf in danger of dying of old age. It was tough - you can take that as a classic British understatement - and in nobody's lexicon could be described as "veal", and it was accompanied by lukewarm, overcooked vegetables. Oh, and rice which wasn't too badly mauled - but let's face it, rice is a quite forgiving cereal.I'm sure you'll forgive me for not bothering with a pudding which, for all I know, might be at least edible, but frankly, I didn't feel the risk was worth taking. The coffee didn't poison me but again, I feel that was probably outside the restaurant's field of influence.Maybe we were unlucky enough to visit on a night when the kitchen staff were replaced by young offenders on a rehabilitation training scheme, but in any event I personally wouldn't risk the affront to one's palate to which we were subjected.

Do not be put off by the informal outside/inside of this brilliant restaurant. Usually a queue and wait of 15-20 mins before finding a seat. This very busyfamily run business is always full of local people travelling from as far as Porto. Brilliant excellent quality fresh fish we had grilled octopus and sardines which is always served with cabbage(greens) and potatoes. Very generous size portions. Good bottle of wine usual price around 25-29 euros for two persons. We usually dine there 2 a week. Highly highly recommend it. Very casual easy dress. You will certainly enjoy the experience.

Found this restaurant on trip advisor and yet it did not fail to live up to the expectations of the previous reviews. Ver Nice light decor and welcoming staff. I had prawns to start with, in a garlic sauce and a lovely tender cooked to perfection steak for main. Topped off by a really nice Creme caramel. Overall lovely

The Restaurant & Gastronomic Atelier Sra.Peliteiro was born in August 2011 in Fão, continuing the work started by Chef Paula Peliteiro in Brazil. Since February 2016 you will find in the new facilities in Quinta da Barca enjoying the breathtaking scenery
My family and I went there yesterday having read the positive reviews. The setting, overlooking the river, is pretty and the restaurant itself well laid out with linen tablecloths and attentive waiting staff. To start we had potatoes stuffed with sardine fillets-a bit ordinary-and puff pastry cones with salt cod and what I think was avruga caviar. The latter were very good.Next we shared The monkfish cataplana (local style copper cooking pot). I thought the monkfish was over cooked and the prawns hadnât been de-veined.Also the stock could have been reduced more to intensify the flavour. There were quite a few families with babies and toddlers, who made their presence felt.Personally, this is something that shouldnât be happening in a top restaurant.Overall, the menu was limited and I donât think the cooking justified the prices charged.I wouldnât go back.
