We had some really good pasta for lunch here. Both dishes were fresh and delicious, the staff was friendly and the pricing not cheap but not too expensive either. Unfortunately the waiting time for the food was really long and there's plain bread, without butter or oil and balsamico served before the food.

Traditional fine-dining restaurant with hotel rooms located directly in the center of the old town of Heidelberg. You will find the ideal place to sit back, relax and enjoy!
I had dinner with friends on a Monday during the week before Christmas. The place was packed and almost too noisy. The food was a good interpretation of traditional German fare. Overall the place is pricey, but the quality was worth it (we paid 240 Euros for four, one dish each with drinks and a bottle of wine). What I did not like was that the servers had an attitude and were rather inefficient. For example, it took two reminders for us to finally get the wine we ordered. Really?

A nice dinner with friends who translated the menu with assistance from the waiter. A good range of simple food, well prepared from fresh ingredients and some nice beer to wash it down.
Located out of the way in Edingen-Neckarhausen, this is one gem that should not be missed if you get the opportunity. This restaurant was recommended by my cousin and his wife who live in Neckarhausen. Had the pleasure of dining there on several occasions, including birthdays and anniversaries. Without a doubt, some of the best German and Greek food I've ever eaten. You can go from traditional Greek food, to traditional German and anywhere in between. I've spent time in Greece, and the Greek food is authentic and delicious. The Gyro's and Souvlaki are just as good (I think better) as in Greece. Where Janni really shines, though, is the blend of German and Greek food. Example, the Chef Schnitzel. A Greek twist on a more traditional German dish. Smothered in goat's cheese and served with a Greek salad and potatoes, it's simply heaven on a plate. Kudo's to Janni and his entire staff for always providing a welcoming atmosphere, superb service and an overall fantastic dining experience. You won't leave disappointed.

I had a great dinner at La bottega.Food was of high quality and it was very well cooked. The people there are friendly, very polite and they give you alternatives to make sure you eat something you like. I came back for lunch the day after...

Business function, event or just good dining? Visit our best rated Restaurant, Bar, Bistro, our cosy Lounge or the outstanding Roof-Terrace in the Centre of Heidelberg. The Qube Restaurant stands for imaginative, regional as well as international cuisine,
The Qube restaurant has pretentions to be a serious restaurant but, alas, fails to deliver. The décor is contemporary and pleasant and the food is perfectly decent, but the evening service staff is not only incompetent but downright rude. I can tolerate disorganized service if the servers are pleasant, but there is no excuse for inefficiency coupled with arrogance. I was staying at the Qube Hotel with colleagues and we saw that the restaurant was half empty so it seemed easiest to dine there instead of trying to find another place in the neighborhood. When it took forever to get menus, then to have our order taken, then simply to be served wine which was sitting on the bar behind us, we offered to leave if we were not welcome. One of the servers berated us for expecting to be served promptly when we did not have a reservation! Several nights later, at a dinner there for over 40 people (for a conference), another server told someone allergic to arugula that she could "just scrape it off" her starter. We complained and received an apology in that instance, but this is type of behavior is simply unprofessional and unacceptable. I'm sure there are better and certainly more enjoyable restaurants in Heidelberg - Das Bootshaus down the street, for example, has good, unpretentious food served with a smile. Save your money and your time!

This is a great mid-price option for European food with Greek influence. Good quality ingredients and portions. I've had a lovely salad (as a main), a really good souvlaki plate, and an excellent piece of beef fillet. Prices are very reasonable and appropriate for the quality. The service was a touch slow but not painfully so - it's usually busy and there's often only one server, but he's very good.

After a few visits by our various family members to Cavos, we can say that we all agree it's a very nice restaurant that we would recommend to others. In warmer weather months, you can't beat the lovely patio and views of the Nekar if you want to stop for drinks and snacks. Even when seated inside, the decor is crisp, clean and pleasant. The food is very good, with a nice selection of menu items and daily specials. The drink selection is huge and creative. Service is typically German by this American's experience, with minimal interactions during the meal, but no problem obtaining attention when directly requested. All in all, a great place to enjoy food, drinks and views.

Don't be put off by the surrounding neighborhood, which is run-down looking. The traditional dishes are delicious. Probably one of the best cordon bleu that I have ever had. The rib eye was a thick piece, a real steak. There were various other dishes to choose from, including fish, chicken and pasta. The wine selection is small, mostly from the region, inexpensive, but the waitress selected one for us that pleased all of us. The only disappointment was the white asparagus. It didn't have much taste. Overall, it was a nice dining experience.
