This once great bastion of culinary excellence is beginning to look a bit like the kitchen equivalent of Manchester United. Used to winning awards and being the âgo to placeâ it seems that Dolce is on the wane and in a transitional period. I have been going fairly regularly (approx 3 times a year for past five years) and would not have hesitated to give 4 or 5 stars in the past but this is now an establishment living on past glories. During my last few visits (particularly the most recent one in August) the service was atrociously slow, and we had to beckon them over by going up to the counter after waiting a long time. The starters were lovely (and the highlight) but the main steak was bland. I had also eaten a penne arrabiata in there a few weeks before and it was watery and not nice. The Italian owner is a lovely gentleman and I hope he and the Dolce team can look upon this positively to regenerate what should become a hidden gem once more. And by regenerate (poor service), they need to add urgency (itâs too slow- take note, others have commented the same), the steaks need revisiting (also others have commented) my gripe was the tbone was very bland... come on dolce!! Youâre better than this...We are so sorry to hear of your experiences at Dolce Caffe. I held a Friday night party here to celebrate my husband passing out from the police. We had 30 people who were catered to perfectly - the food was amazing, the staff were patient and accommodating, I cannot recommend Positano highly enough! They were communicative during the planning and a great time was had by all!

The one thing you donât expect Spanish food to be is dull, especially when youâve had a number of positive recommendations about a restaurant. This is a big place with lots of inside seating and a big garden area for warm weather. The decor is light and airy, the service is good but what have they done to make typical Spanish dishes so tasteless? My starter was mushrooms in white wine, which had been cooked ok but had no discernible flavours. Even odder, my paella main was just the right texture but equally bland. My friends were unimpressed with their calamari starter. The only redeeming feature was an entirely unnecessary but very yummy (and big) helping of Tiramisu at the end. Canât fault the reasonable prices, but Iâd rather pay more and have my taste buds challenged not bored. We will probably try this again on the assumption that we just caught it on an off day. But it was notable that for a place renowned for often being packed was almost empty on a Thursday lunchtime.

Just wanted a decent meal for myself and the good lady who has a gluten allergy , a quick search on google of nearby gluten free restaurants came up with Sensi. A glance at the reviews and we said yes letâs go itâs local and they could accommodate are gluten free needs after a quick phone conversation.So glad we went the food was outstanding,from the staters, think we had grilled cheese and meatballs, the lady hadnât had meatballs in ages been gluten intolerant and she loved them , me too they were delicious. Canât remember what I had for mains but I know I had a empty plate at the end which means I throughly enjoyed it , the misses had a fish risotto, she couldnât finish it as she is not a big eater ,but again excellent, Onto the dessert both of us full but we shared a chocolate rum cake , ,,,,,,,on my the misses was in heaven , gluten free chocolate rum cake , gorgeousWhole meal was superb first class gluten free food , we will be back , in fact she has been back already with her girlfriends , you will be seeing me soon as well , Keep it up

Lovely neighborhood restaurant with fabulous neapolitan pizza and great vibe!This is an excellent local cozy pizzeria. The dough and mozzarella used are outstanding. It is also absolutely delicious, one of the best pizza restaurants in London. My family and I will definitely return. I would highly recommend it.

We have dinner here all the time. It's absolutely excellent and head and shoulders above anything else in Uxbridge. The cocktails and gin menu are amazing and the food menu is equally creative and classic. The building itself is one of the highlights with tons of character, exposed wooden beams and a beautiful fireplace. If you're eating out in Uxbridge, this is the only choice for me. Although the food and service can't be faulted, the popularity of this restaurant makes it very cramped and extremely noisy to the point that conversation at normal level is impossible. The car-park is very small and alternative street parking is lmited

We came to this wonderful restaurant in May when we were celebrating our Ruby Wedding. Lovely and cosy just the two of us.. Denham village is the perfect setting for this Italian restaurant. ... it's charming and just a beautiful village.. time has not spoilt it .. just how it should be. Da Remo is just the same .. the minute you walk in .. you feel the charm and warmth of the place.. The food was delightful and so much choice. . The night we went was a Tuesday. .and it was a full house..Thank heaven's we had booked.The atmosphere was amazing everyone talking and laughing. . sharing stories catching up on what's been going on. All who work there are brilliant. . so friendly and helpful. .We shall definitely be coming back to Da Remo. . as we would like to try their Sunday lunch. Well done.
