We had not booked but popped in here on Bank Holiday Sunday. It is a very spacious restaurant. We were shown to a table quickly and provided with menus. Our order was taken promptly and the main arrived equally quickly and all (4) agreed that they were very good. Decided to have a dessert, what a Menu!!!, There must have been nearly 20 to choose from. I changed my mind several time. Then they arrived they too were disgusting (ly) delicious.Great food great service great prices. What more do you want?

Salash is perfect for those who are looking for traditional, freshly, lovingly prepared Turkish food. We use a charcoal grill to cook traditional Turkish dishes from recipes used in the South East Anatolia region of Turkey.
Nestled amongst the many restaurants on the popular Ocean Road is the Salash. This was my first visit during restaurant week. We opted for the £7.95 menu. The food is amazing all washed down with efess beer. Lovely atmosphere with great service . Will be back

We are a Family run Italian Cafe / Bistro we pride ourself on fresh Italian produce bring a real taste of Italy to Cullercoats. The Di Mascio family have been serving the culler coats community since the 1940s .
Well, that was a disaster. Things started OK. We ordered two flat whites, a slice of cake and a dessert. The waitress seemed nervous but she explained that it was her first day â fair enough. When the coffees arrived they were cappuccinos rather than flat whites but we didnât make a fuss as the coffee was decent. The cake was good, too â but there was no dessert available so I just said to forget it â although I made a mental note, just in case it was added to our bill.We heard an older woman who was sat next to the bar â possibly the manager â say to the waitress that the coffee was served in the wrong cups. As I said, though, we let that go. When we went up to pay, sure enough we were charged for the missing dessert, so I politely asked that the bill be readjusted for this. At this point the Possible Manager intervened and told us that the young waitress was only fourteen and that it was her first day. We said OK and asked for the correct sum, but the waitress repeated the original, higher amount. I asked again for the correct amount â but it was then that the Possible Manger lost the plot. For some reason she turned on my wife â who hadnât said anything at that point â and criticised my wifeâs âattitudeâ and âbody languageâ. We were stunned by this â a café manager handing out personal abuse and being verbally aggressive to customers who were a) trying to pay; b) being polite and reasonable; and c) letting go various minor problems (wrong coffee and items on the menu being unavailable). Of course, we challenged this behaviour while trying to laugh off the aggression. The Possible Manager then repeated her mantra about the waitress being only fourteen, so (although it was not us who brought up the age question) we asked if this was right, given that we had seen the teenager serving alcohol to other customers. The angry reply was that she was a family friend and that she was there on work experience. She was now so furious that she demanded that we leave the premises, but we refused to leave until we received our correct change (I had already handed the money over). We got the change and headed towards the door, although I made a few remarks about her the Possible Managerâs unprofessional attitude and abusive behaviour. For some weird reason, the Possible Manger made some bizarre remarks as she ushered us to the door. Earlier, we saw the staff struggling with a meal for other customers and heard the Possible Manager say, "It's all about the blag" - a remark that says a lot about the attitude towards customers at this café.

Our Restaurant situated on the First Floor of ORA is open on evenings and weekends where you can enjoy our Full Menu along with Al Carte specials (available Thurs-Sun). Please feel free to view our choice of Menus below.
Called in without a reservation on a Friday night and, although very busy, we were seated very quickly at an upstairs table. The food is excellent. Weâve been to Spain many times and had tapas regularly but can honestly say that we havenât enjoyed tapas as much as we did at Ora. We had calamari, king prawns in tempura batter, hummus and other dishes and all were delicious - and at a very good price. Well worth a visit. We shall definitely be returning when next in Northumberland.

Dined at this restaurant twice this year and enjoyed great food. The Early Bird Menu is superb value and is available until 6.30. The Penne al Salmone is very good. Save room for the sweet course as they are yummie. The service on my first visit was good, however on our latest visit there was only a waiter and waitress working and they were clearly under pressure which resulted in over a 2 hour visit. The beer barrel needed changing and they had neither the time or the knowlege to do it resulting in 7 guys without a drink for 20 minutes. bottles came to the rescue. If you have plenty of time give the food here a go. You wont be disappointed.

Papa Ganoush has been designed to have an informal, friendly & family vibe; far from a 3 -course dining experience. It's an extension to the street food feel. We believe Papa Ganoush embodies unpretentious, vibrant food and genuine great customer service.
We booked in advance as a group. Word on the street suggests that this restaurant is always fully booked so to avoid disappointment, please do book in advance. The restaurant can be difficult to find. There are actually two restaurants in the same building, an Indian downstairs and this one upstairs. I drove around several times looking for parking which can be a nightmare. The restaurant was smaller than expected. It exudes a homely cosy atmosphere. We were a group of 5. The plates on offer are very small so as a result we ordered two different plates each. This came up to less than £25 including a drink and tip.It did take a while for the food to arrive but when it did, wow! It was well cooked and well presented. I had pork skewers and Hiri chicken. Both dishes were very tasty, well seasoned and cooked just right. We also ordered flatbread and greens to share. My colleagues had several other dishes and all dishes were cooked to perfection.I am definitely going to visit thus restaurant again. What a lovely experience.

Locally well known and popular place. Authentic Turkish cuisine. Lamb Guvec, I had was sumptuous and so tasty. Large portion. Bayleaf rolled starters were superb. Service was excellent and starters as well as main course arrived within 10-15 mins of each other. Our 2 and half year old grandaughter was delighted with Turkish rice and fries! Certainly worth a visit. Need to book in advance though.Thank you so much for such a lovely review; we greatly appreciate your wonderful feedback and look forward to welcoming you back very soon...With our best wishes,Team Turknaz x

So...ok...you know what you're getting when you order Calzone, cow pie!!!! Well, yes & no. I loved the way La Casetta served this... Giant Cornish pasty but....with tomato sauce in a dish on the side, lovely, I mean really lovely, simply the best! The food & service are both 5 star, it's a bit of a hidden gem, but shouldn't be, best Italian/Greek/Mediterranean in Whitley Bay. A restaurant that deserves, nay demands, your patronage. Go. Soon. It's fabulous!
