Find out what Mediterranean restaurants to try in Copenhagen. Copenhagen was once a Viking fishing settlement, and you can still find traces of the Norse explorers here. Visit reconstructed villages, the remains of a 1,000-year-old castle, and museums dedicated to the notorious raiders. Copenhagen also features a blend of modern architecture and historical artifacts such as the Round Tower observatory – a wonderful example of 17th-century architecture. Art galleries, narrow streets, canals, parks, and Baroque churches round out the city’s cultural attractions.

Was looking for another recommended restaurant in this neighborhood when I passed this. It was so inviting and reminded me so of a small ristorante in Italy that I went here instead. What a treat. Appeared to be a husband and wife team doing 100% of the service but they were amazing. The food was so good. Fresh and perfectly prepared. I gave our tour director their card so she can recommend it to others. If and when I return to Copenhagen this will be first stop. Just outstanding.

Went here because it was just 300 meters from our hotel and had good TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. We were greeted and seated promptly, the service was excellent. Complimentary bread with olive oil was brought to our table. We weren’t super hungry so only had the one course which was the pasta of the day - delicious!!!!And a bottle of great Chianti. Nice clean restaurant, good authentic Italian cuisine and excellent service. What more could you want.

It s already 3 times in August that we visit this restaurant, service, ingredients, food, hospitality, everything works perfectly, mostly because of one man show, Fabio, a real Italian who gives solutions and satisfaction to every single client! Restaurant, though, should extend the variety of menu (but again thanks to Fabio, it can vary further than the official one!)

L'Enoteca di Mr. Brunello Restaurant & Wine Shop

This stylish restaurant reminds one of nouvelle cuisine with its small portions and high prices. The owner-operator, an elegant Danish woman who speaks fluent Italian is omnipresent taking all orders and allowing her young staff only to bring and remove plates. She is no doubt very capable, knowledgeable about wines which are expensive. By the glass choices are lacking though one may have two glasses of the house Brunello for 250 Danish krones or about $35 American dollars. There are only two entre choices each night: a meat or fish. Both were small in size and not particularly special. Similarly dessert was fine but nothing to remember. An expensive dinner and not really worth it!

Our cuisine is fusion style, as we like to use the raw material we have here at home. We serve a varied diet, both cold and hot.

There aren’t that many Tapas restaurants in Copenhagen, hence I was excited to see that a highly rated tapas bar appeared on Tripadvisor. Sorry to say, but the menu is disappointing. The food is savorless and unexciting for the price you are paying. This was our first visit to Copenhagen and after surviving the August crowds in Nvhavn we wanted to find a good restaurant with quality food. We must have been lucky as it was a quiet night with wonderful Italian food. The service was fantastic and we were not disappointed. The only thing to be aware of is that the menu is for three or four courses which we hadn’t picked up when we booked. So we came away very full but also very happy. They also have a great Italian wine list - quite expensive also but probably pretty standard Scandinavia!!Dear John, thank you for a great review. Yes, Trattoria l'Alba is a hidden gem close to Nyhavn, but only for the locals and for the tourist seeking the real stuff. All italian, also the staff, the wine and all products. Our price for a 4 course (all homemade) incl. bread/oil, service etc. is 50 euro. According us a very fair price in the very center of Copenhagen. We don't charge extra for tap water, no cover charge, no extra for olive oil, bread, and a little starter. We hope you liked this service and we hope to see you back again for a lovely italian evening in wonderful Copenhagen. All the best, Erik

We booked ahead as we were a group of people. The service was a little slow and we seem to be served last even although we were first in the restaurant. At this point there was about 3-4 tables with 2-4 people at each table. The starter, prawns and calamari was lovely as was the house rose. We had to ask for one of our group's main to be brought to the table as she had an earlier flight, we had waited about 30 mins at this point. The main courses eventually arrive, mine was linguine with lobster, unfortunately it was tasteless. the senior man did apologise and offer an alternative dish and did take the main dish and side salad off the the bill. He did also provide a bottle of Prosecco as a good will gesture which was lovely. The issue seemed to be that a very large group had been booked about 1 hour after we arrived and I think the restaurant was overwhelmed with the numbers - a shame as it gets normally very good reviewsDear Surrey13,We are all sincerely humbled by your constructive review with regards to your previous visit with us. It certainly serves as a motivation for our team members and to improve and to strive in providing the utmost level of services to our guests. Again, thank you and we hope to have the opportunity to welcoming you again soon at Trattoria SUD. Yours sincerely,Andrea Cassini
