In the restaurantâs welcoming, pleasant and hospitable atmosphere, customer care is key. Chiara masterfully arranges each menu on the basis of simple and genuine recipes offering traditional homemade dishes.
travelling from Germany to Milan and not hacving much time I decided to stop along the highway at the first available little village. And get into this restaurant with average expectations. Instead it was simply a great suroprise: the welcoming, the service, was really warm and nice. And then the food was really good, perfect taste and caring on little details. I had an antipasto with acciughe and a tagliata as a main course, which was cooked perfectly as I wushed: medium rare. Service was very efficient and time investment was just 40 mins.

Vecchia Dogana is an elegant and refined Restaurant a few steps from the shore of Lake Garda and from the ancient small port of Lazise, a charming medieval hamlet near Verona (Italy). Vecchia Dogana Restaurant provides 50 seats in the cozy dining room and
Everything at this restaurant was praiseworthy, from the room, to the food, the wine, and especially the service, as nine English speakers (and one Italian referee) undoubtedly tested our server's patience with our barrage of questions, our requests for off-menu items, and changing the order of our courses. Elegant might be the best way to describe it all. The dishes were all beautifully presented, and the flavours complex and delicious. Desserts were superb too. I wanted to go back!Dear gettingandspending,we are happy that it was a great experience for you. Thank you very much for your positive review. We look forward to see you soon again!

This was a nice change of diet for us after too much Pizza and Pasta. The owner spent time with us and explained the specials. The galettes were in the main very good - but orders were mixed up and I'm not sure if it was our poor communication or not. We should have skipped the dessert crepes. They were a wee let down and why I have given this a 4 not a 5 star. Would we go again - yes - but just for savoury.

A hot Saturday evening in probably the best location Sirmione, Lake Garda and this place is heaving with people prepared to line up and wait for a table as were the 4 of us but waiting is no chore as people watching fills the perfectly.Within 15 minutes we were seated and after ordering drinks began to explore the menu which is rich in variety. We shared starters of two salads, one Nicoise and the other Tri-colore both presented beautifully with the freshest of ingredients and bursting with flavour. Most mains consisted of Pasta but I chose the Mixed Fried Fish which was fabulous but coming Fries proved to be a bit more than I could handle but with friends to share this was no problem. The House White Wine is terrific with a little fizz that makes it quite special as was the service by 2 brothers who were as synchronised as robots, amazing meal and a great night out. The bill came to a not unreasonable Euro 100 with tip.

We arrived during a busy period and were asked to come back in 20 minutes, which we did. Had to wait another 5-10 minutes to actually be seated and get 4 sets of everything (cutlery, glassware). We ordered and were given water and then we watched the staff serve all the other tables. Eventually I asked for the wine we had ordered about 10 minutes earlier and it was brought to the table. The veal main course arrived before our starters and was taken away again I guess to go under a heat lamp or to be reheated when we had finished our starters, as when it finally did arrive, it was then slightly overcooked. The restaurant had run out of potatoes so we were offered vegetables instead, which arrived at the same time as our starters so sat getting cold during the long wait between starters and main courses.Overall the food was okay but the wait far too long. We arrived at 9.15 and did not get our main courses until around 10.30pm.

Great pizza and great service. We popped in one evening and sat outside this cosy little restaurant/takeaway on the Gardesana Road linking Peschiera and Lazise. She had spaghetti and I had a pizza; both of which were lovely and satisfying.Very reasonably priced food and Pit Stop also provides a takeaway/delivery service (â¬3 supplement) and the staff are very friendly and attentive. They clearly want their customers to have a positive experience.Would definitely visit again.

I can't review the restaurant but we called in to have a look at the Amarone wine, maybe try and buy some.Unfortunately the staff were more interested in the till and some paperwork, said hello when we entered and didnt say anything else. We wandered around for a few minutes, felt awkward and left. The reviews of the restaurant look good but the shop was an uncomfortable experience.Dear Guest,We thank you for your review which, like all comments from our guests, represents an important means for improvement. We regret that our staff welcome did not live up to your expectations and we invite you to come back and visit us again so we can offer you our best assistance and allow you to live a fully satisfying experience, both in the wine shop and in the wine bar, where you can enjoy the local cuisine and taste our wines. We hope to welcome you again in the future and we extend our best regards.V. Off the beaten track restaurant serving big portions of good traditional Italian food at very reasonable prices. Tagliatelle with truffle are delicious but all other dishes are good too. If you still have room for dessert I recommend the "Bidonata". Make sure to book in advance as the restaurant gets busy quickly with lots of regular customers.
