This dining room in the Hotel Conde Rodrigo 1 offers a 3 course prix fixe menu for €13.50. It is great value for the price. Not all the staff speak English, but they are helpful, courteous, & professional, and you will not have any difficulty if you don't speak Spanish.I enjoyed myself, and will return to this restaurant.

We arrived already quite late, choose our primary and our second from the daily menu: freshly cooked nice plates, very tasty. The owner was serving, speedy and attentiv. Even the dishes are simple, alltogether we enjoyed one of our best diners during these vacations. The price includes a cop of wine/beer/water and a koffee or a dessert. You get enough, and of good quality - but this place is not for the ones that search very big quantity or complicated chef food.

Preciosa cafetería y bar donde puedes comer elaborados pinchos y tapas por 1 €. El trato es estupendo y la decoración te invita a relajarte en buena compañía.
Bar Casino is a roomy and pleasant bar. We had friendly service and excellent cold, crisp beer. We didn’t eat here but the wide selection of tapas on display all looked to be very good.

The Veinte Cafe in hotel conde rodrigo Uno, renewed concept with traditional cuisine of our area fused with classic Italian cuisine, we have the support of small producers and artisans who pamper the product and who provide us for our recipes as for our m
We had a huge family dinner. We mostly had pizza and salad. The burrata salad was super tasty and so were the calamary and veggies. There id a wide range of 8 inch pizza, dry tomate, local han, artichoque, and many more exquisite ingredients. I hope yo come back again in the future.

There is very little information on TA for restaurants in this town. We settled on Estoril, the restaurant is very appealing and I watched a video interview online with the chef. The restaurant has no English menu so we took our iPad and translated the menu. This took almost an hour during which time we were not approached by the staff apart from providing us with WiFi.A large group arrived at about 9 pm so we were pleased we had settled on our order. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the chef actually occasionally appeared in the restaurant. They have a set menu which includes everything for 28 euros but we decided to have a la carte which is quite pricey. I ordered the suckling pig served with peach for 20 euros and my husband ordered the tornado for the same price. Both dishes were specialties of the region and mine was very tasty, something I have never eaten before. My husband's steak did not resemble a traditional French or Australian version of Tornedo and he was disappointed. The waitress who spoke no English explained that the meat was Raza Morucha from Salamanca, a prized grass fed beef but unfortunately it did not compare to Australian beef.Overall we enjoyed the meal but felt the mains were overpriced.

The old spanish paradores continue resting on their old laurels doing nothing to justify the price charged. Only two ladies serving more than 40 guests. Forgot many things asked and the last dish took more than one hour to come to the table. Simply a disasterWe are sorry that your experience at our restaurant was not up to their expectations, however we appreciate that you can communicate your opinion as it is the best weapon we have to improve every day.Thank you for helping us improve at the points where we have failed in the service wanted us to enjoy. We will thoroughly analyze your comment because it is not usual that says what happens.Yours faithfully

Our group stumbled across this place just an hour or so before our lunch - and sat down for a drink. Before long someone decided to order a couple of plates of pulpo - just delicious - wonderfully cooked on a bed of potatoes and mouthwatering, this was followed by some deep fried chiperones (like small squid things) all washed down with great wine. The staff were friendly and it was well priced.

Enjoy our traditional cuisine in a historic building belonging to the Cathedral Cabildo from the 14TH century. "La Canóniga" was used to store the tithe that the priest received. In 1815, this building was the headquarters of the English troops.
We had a very good evening at this lovely atmospheric restaurant. We enjoyed our long and varied conversation with the owner about various topics and especially regarding the choice of meal and drinks ,which were to our liking. If you would like to dine in the town, this is certainly a place that we can recommend!

Earlier reviews were right. Very good quality lamb chops and "Chuleton". Well presented and executed dishes. Friendly waitress. Price/quality balance good. Wines at good prices. Recommended.

We were wandering around the beautiful city of Cuidad Rodrigo and asked one of the shop owners where he would recommend that we eat. He recommended Zascandil and, as we were leaving the shop, one of the other customers asked us whether the owner had recommended Zascandil as, he said, it was the best restaurant in the town. So we went and, boy, were they correct! We asked the owner (who was delightful) what he'd recommend and we had the most delicious Japanese-style tuna. We ate every bit and could not have enjoyed it more. He also suggested a wine to have with it and the combination was outstanding. We had left the ferry in Bilbao that afternoon en route to Lisbon and really wished we'd arranged to stay the night in the town to explore it further; it really is delightful and really worth a visit. Then, several miles further on the road to Lisbon, we discovered that we'd left our credit card at the restaurant and phoned the restaurant to discover that the owners had phoned every hotel in the area to find out whether we were staying in the city and when they discovered that we weren't, posted the card to us. We can't praise this restaurant highly enough. Beautiful food, delightful owners, a charming restaurant in a beautiful town. So, if you are in the area, make sure you visit Cuidad Rodrigo and then this restaurant will make for a very special experience. Muchisimas gracias.
