Behind the extremely busy bar part is the colourful restaurant. The menu is wide ranging combining contemporary styles with traditional dishes. The staff are attentive and helpful and always willing to recommend dishes or wines as well as warn you if you order too much. Miguel, the owner, has a loyal clientele which keep coming back to sample Josu´s wonderful food. The Chicken Roquefort is good however for me the star dish are the Beef Cheeks in Red Wine sauce on a Potato Purée. Try the tapas out front, which are just as good and make sure to reserve a table from Thursday to Sunday.

Working this month in Ciudad Real I asked my local colleagues for recommendations and this was one of the places mentioned. My first visit I chose a white wine that was slightly fizzy and far too sweet but put it down to my bad choice. When I returned a few days later for lunch I specified that I would like a glass of white wine, as dry as possible. While not being as sweet as the first it was still not the quality I have come to expect in Spain. I found the menu very uninspiring and thought I would try a burger, imagining it to be homemade and possibly with some salad on the side. The French burger, with Brie, onions and foie in a toasted, slightly sweet bun, was not bad but it's perfectly round form with no rough edges led me to believe it could have been processed? While the meat itself was tasty the quality was rather chewy. I was disappointed that for 10⬠it came with just a few chips and no salad. I finished with a glass of red which would have been better if it had been room temperature and some rather ordinary cheese. Not somewhere I would hurry back to

Had a wonderful meal. Service and help with the menu was great. The salad was very good and beautifully displayed. The suckling pig and the young lamb were delicious.Had a great wine, made by the proprietress, only 200 bottles produced for less than 20 euros .It was a big, concentrated, very old vine Grenache. Can recommend it to anyone. The meal was a bargain at euro 79. If you are ever within the Ciudad Real area of Spain do not miss Meson Octavio.

We were taken to this great restaurant and it looked very elegant and had a great vibe to it. We were ushered to the downstairs part of the restaurant for lunch. We ordered some dishes to share and then a main each and dessert. The dishes were all delicious and well presented. You did not leave hungry. Highly recommended this bar/ restaurant if you are in Ciudad Real.

Stumbled across Orosia as was open whilst others shut. Had wagyu burger and salmon salad. Both very nice. Waiter kindly gave us a fried fish starter to share which was lovely for a little nibble. Waiter had no English but was happy, friendly and with a ready smile. They will also serve your order to you on some tables and chairs in a small square outside. Nice place with air con.

I was here for a wedding and so I didn't really research much into this place. Imagine my surprise when my friends brought me to this place. It's beautiful, the food is exquisite (not the regular run of the mill tapas that I've had for days), the sommelier was knowledgable.I love it. I just love how it's so beautiful inside, the food is so yummy and the atmosphere is just classy.

An average meal for a high price. There are better places in Ciudad Real other than this place. The quality of the food does not justify the price we paid. The ambiance was quite average as well.

Taberna Restaurante con una Cocina de Mercado, con unos productos frescos y elaboraciones clásicas con pequeño toque de modernidad, nuestro estilo de cocina es Mediterránea.
Having read the excellent reviews on trip advisor we decided to go here on our last evening in Ciudad Real. While the meal and service were fine, they were certainly nothing outstanding Even though we arrived relatively early we were rushed through the meal, the main course arrived well before we had finished the starter. The restaurant appeared to be used more as a bar by many locals and visitors giving the evening a very different feelProbably overpriced for what we hadHello friend, first of all thank you for your visit.I am very sorry for believing that we are a Restaurant, I am sorry we annulled ourselves as a Spanish Tavern, with tables to eat.Anyway thank you very much friend, Hove
