Following a major and lengthy strike/lock-out, Hotel des Gouverneurs totally transformed its properties in Sherbrooke and Chicoutimi (Saguenay) by creating somewhat of an upscale experience under the OTL brand. With this comes the Boefish restaurant in both location - and frankly there is nothing else as "trendy" as Boefish in the area so they pretty much have that market all for themselvesWhat I liked: Contemporary, open setting - but without being too loud. Diverse food menu with nice twists on common, and less common dishes. Very friendly and prompt service. Good portions for the prices and definitely premium food/presentation. Food quality is above average. Great mix of flavorsWhat to watch for/could be improved: Meat was very slightly overcooked, but these things can happen.All in, very highly recommended - regardless of whether you are staying on site or notDear guest,We thank you for sharing your impressions. My husband, son and I were looking for a restaurant for dinner. We came upon Perla del Mare. The decor was nice even though a bit dated. The service was very friendly and pleasant. There was a two for one special on a variety of meals. That was a bonus. We ordered salmon, pickerel and chicken with 5 peppers. The size of the meals were generous and the food cooked to perfection. The price was unbearable although we did not indulge in desserts. You can bring your own wine at this restaurant and being unprepared the waitress suggested we go buy a bottle across the street at the dépanneur, which we did. The wine was not the best unfortunately but the food was great. We would all recommend this restaurant.
