My husband and I had the most wonderful Christmas lunch in Villa Bacchus where we were greeted by the owners who were also dining there with their family. The atmosphere was superb - the restaurant was full with well over 350 diners. The food was well presented, very fresh and hot when served. We opted for the fish menu with excellent vino bianco. There were 5 amazing courses and the service was fast and the staff went out of their way to ensure that our dining experience was an exceptional one. The waiting staff, kitchen staff and chef, all came out before serving to greet their guests which was a lovely touch. The tables were beautifully and elegantly set with our names printed on the table setting. We loved the entertainment which appealed to adults and children alike.....and of course Babbo Natale made an appearance too. After the meal and festivities, there was a disco with a great variety of music - everyone was up on the dance floor having a great time. We subsequently dined in the Bacchus 3 weeks ago (February ) to try out the restaurant pizzeria, with our daughter. I sent an enquiry on the website to find out if the restaurant was open because many restaurants are closed until late March. However , I received a prompt message within the hour , informing me that the restaurant was indeed open. (In English) Furthermore, I was asked if I wanted a table reservation - brilliant service. So a reservation was made for 20:00 where we enjoyed delicious pizza, albeit the menu also includes fish dishes, meat, pasta dishes etc. We will be returning soon to try out some other delights on the menu. It was such a nice touch to have our names printed on the reservation card. The staff are very professional and made us feel very welcome. Thank you to all at Villa Bacchus - we look forward to many more enjoyable meals and festivals with your amazing hospitality. Thank you for your review, we are very happy to read that you enjoyed your time in Villa Bacchus. We love to cuddle our guests, see you soon Mr. and Mrs. Lynch.

At the foot of the small medieval town of Chiaramonte Gulfi, in 1990 Antonio Scrivano and his wife Giovanna Picciotta founded the bar called "Bar Pentagono". Even today, Antonio Scrivano's sons and wife lead this family activity, keeping an eye on the cu
We have been advised by friends to visit this amazing bar in Chiaramonte Gulfi. The food is particular, very tasty, homemade, just like your grandma would prepare it. Strongly recommended granita with almond as shown on the picture :) and espresso!!!

The farm Mortilla is a family winery, offers guided tours and tastings of wines accompanied by appetizers-firsts-second made with typical products of our province
From being greeted at the front door by one of the owners, through the 5 course meal, to the tour of the room where the wine is aged, this was a memorable night. The food and wine are exceptional. Everything is prepared and presented with loving care, in true Sicilian manner.

We enjoyed excellent, friendly and attentive service from the moment we arrived in the beautiful outdoor courtyard under the Olive trees. Mood lighting created a lovely ambience. Live music played in the background. There were a number of large family groups celebrating. The pizzas are delicious and we also enjoyed the Filet Beef and Veal Mixed Grill. We shared an assortment of desserts-- yumeeeee!!
This place is incredible, the principle is simple food of the highest standard cooked correctly. The mixed antipasto and pasta stuffed with vegetables were so tasty. The meat and cannolo were excellent too. Can't recommend this place enough. grazie tanto

Can't fault really. Yes, not the most attractive building I ever been in but the food was excellent. The gratin of mussels were outstanding. Frito Misto crisp but nicely cooked as was the mixed grilled fish. Croquettes of potato were delicious with only the grilled radicchio a bit disappointing as came out fried. An excellent place to come and eat fish.

First we had problems to find that place. It's not exactly in the center plaza of Chiaramonte and rather outside of tourist main streets. Nevertheless it's nice atmosphere and they have couple of tables outside close to the street, but we did not find it distracting.Food is good and relatively cheap I.e. 4 eur for the cheapest pizza etc. waitress do not speak English, but they are very friendly and supportive. Recommended!

We were a party of three and showed up at this restaurant without a booking for lunch on Friday. We chose this restaurant because of the wonderful smells emanating from it when we passed by and we were not disappointed in the least. The restaurant is located in a very quiet street just off the main square of the village and it specialises in pork based products. To start with we had the house antipasto which was composed of two types of salamis made from pork, some shredded carrots, marinated olives and pork covered with a layer of gelatin. The salamis were delicious and the olives marinated in chilli and olive oil were equally good. The pork in gelatin was tasty however we removed the gelatin since its not something we actually like too much. We also had a side of the greens dressed in olive oil and pepper - fantastic as well. For mains we had the home made trofie with pistaccio and porcini mushrooms and this was divine. My daughter had a grilled sausage which was delicious, the smokey flavour giving it that added depth of flavour. We also shared a half bottle of red wine. All this cost just 38 Euros - excellent value for quality. Will return.

Hard to fault really. How a previous review can say expensive is beyond us. We shared an antipasti then had a pasta course each followed by quail for us both. 2 side dishes and a bottle of good bottle of red all came to â¬57! All the cooking was really good with only the quail being slightly over by a couple of minutes.
