Reviews on Mediterranean food in Ceuta, Spain. Ceuta (assimilated pronunciation /ˈsjuːtə/ SEW-tə; also /ˈseɪʊtə/ SAY-uu-tə; Spanish: [ˈθeuta]; Arabic: سبتة, Sabtah; Berber languages: ⵙⴰⴱⵜⴰ) is an 18.5-square-kilometre (7.1 sq mi) Spanish autonomous city on the north coast of Africa, separated by 14 kilometres from Cadiz province on the Spanish mainland by the Strait of Gibraltar and sharing a 6.4 kilometre land border with M'diq-Fnideq Prefecture in the Kingdom of Morocco. It lies along the boundary between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean and is one of nine populated Spanish territories in Africa and, along with Melilla, one of two populated territories on mainland Africa. It was part of Cádiz province until 14 March 1995 when both Ceuta and Melilla's Statutes of Autonomy were passed, the latter having been part of Málaga province.

Stopped in for lunch on the terrace on a coastal drive out from Tangier. It was a Sunday and pretty full up but we managed to get a good table with a nice view. Lunch was excellent - fresh salad, grilled fish and a couple of glasses of wine. Spoke to one of the owners (actually the youngest son who was the only English speaker so they sent him to wait on us!). Highly recommended.
Volveremos.

Can't believe this restaurant isn't at the top 3! Maybe most people don't think about having lunch in a hotel restaurant, but they should, restaurant is open to all. Here you have plenty of seafood choice, and above all you'll eat the best paella in the city, and one of the best in Spain!

I've been there month ago and I'm still thinking about this great restaurant. It's a must in Ceuta. Go there and enjoy. :) Try everything, perfectly sliced serrano ham, great chees, amazing fresh tuna and paella. It's bit more expensive, but defo worth last penny.
We were looking for good seafood in Ceuta and we found it here! The chef was super nice, the restaurant was actually closed for a special function but the chef allowed us to come in and created an amazing 4 course dinner just for us! My favourite plate was the calamar a la plancha (grilled) which was fresh (not frozen) and was served with perfectly cooked vegetables.
