What better way to spend a rainy day than at the table with fine Italian food and wine. The Miramare chef is an expert in seafood and this coastal restaurant serves nothing but fresh. I always get the fried calamari because it's better than anything I could make at home, but this time it exceeded all others. Not one drop of oil in the batter, crispy, light, and perfectly presented. We stopped for a dinner on Sunday just before mid August as we arrived in Bolgheri and tried to book it again later during our holiday unfortunately with no luck. Hard to spot place in the mid of the countryside from a secluded road. It has several covers and a nice parking spot, you can wander around(our kids did) between olive trees. The dishes were wonderful, wine was at display for choice and we picked a blend we totally loved. Quite a large sized menu with meat and pasta being the most common thread and totally worth it! Great quality at a reasonable cost, would completely recommend it also for the nice service!!

In the Bolgherese road, also known as the "Wine road", There are many restaurants and "Agriturismi".The best I have visited are Osteria Magona and Osteria Caccia al Piano. They are similar in the outlook and food, price and quality.Both are to be tried. What are you waiting for?

Had lunch here while enjoying a lovely day at the beach. Staff was very pleasant and service was prompt. Fried calamari was outstanding. Linguine with lobster was excellent and generously portioned. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere casual and friendly. Just right in this charming beach town.

Enoteca Tognoni is known for its amazing bisteca fiorentina (from the famous Cianina beef) and for the wild boar dishes they serve!My favorite is always: Beef Tartare - Papardelle cingiale - bisteca fiorentina and a lot of red wine! The wines you drink there you get for the same price as you can buy them in a store, this is amazing and makes the very high class wines drinkable at the price they sell them.One of my favorites is the Sondtaia from Peggio al Tesoro (is about 35⬠/ bottle) but of course also the big ones like Tignanello, Sassicaia, Ornellaia are available at very good prices here!

We heard this place was good and we were not disappointed. We stopped in for lunch and had a fantastic meal with good wine. The service and atmosphere was fantastic. We had the Wild Boar steak w/mustard sauce & potatoes and the Ravioli with Pheasant and Stilton Cream Sauce, they we two of the best dishes we had while in Italy. On the way out we met owner (Omar Barsacchi) who offered us Lemon Cellos, he was great and happy that we had stopped in.

If you in love with good food and fantastic location, that is the place. The restaurant is in a villa in the countryside with amazing view. The cousin is an authentic Tuscany cuisine. I loved the brasato, absolutely tasty, and the pork with apples!!

Fantastic welcome even though early. Ambiance lovely. Menu varied, though in the main, this is a fish speciality restaurant. There are some other choices such as pork however. Potentially all ingredients locally sourced, some definitely such as the peach in the free aperitif drink. We didnât find the food to be fine dining but that was ok for us, it was homely food and well cooked. We have been fortunate to have experienced dining in many restaurants around the world, including our home town where the restaurants are expensive. However Osteria San Michele has to be one of the most expensive yet and Iâm sorry, but not worth it. I state this because it was not the standard you would expect for the price. Also for those who have a normal appetite the portions are very small. However, sufficed for us.
