Mediterranean/Continental/Restaurant
This visit to Crabtrees was our first since it opened. Mediterranean/American style is not my first choice for eating out. But to make the wife happy and our friend happy since it was her birthday and our 50th anniversary. The service is excellent with water being repeatedly refilled and the crumbs removed very quickly. The 1st thing that annoyed me was this pesky fly throughout the whole time we were at the table. No one is going take swats during a meal so I have no solution. The front door is constantly being opened. My 2nd problem (and I know it is my fault), was the vegetables. Each dish comes with mashed potato and a mix of vegetables like yellow and green zucchini, stringbeans, and pieces of broccoli(ugh) and some slices of beets (ugh 2).For starters our friend had the buratta salad and i shared the escargot with wifey. That came in the full shell on a plate of garlic sauce which is what makes this dish so good. For main course our friend had the darla's chicken, wife had the salmon and I had the porterhouse style 16 ounce pork chop. The chop was huge and covered with sauteed peppers and onions. The chop was very good but I probably would have been happier had I stuck with my first thought of getting 2 appetizers and a salad. I studied the menu and really wanted the calamari plate and the escargot with a salad.Appetizers and salads run from $11-15 while most main dishes run in the teens to 30+.When we arrived the place was not too filled but when we left on a Sunday nite , it was packed. If you are still hungry for dessert, get the gelato.

So sad that this falafel eatery is closed. They brought an interesting cuisine to the Country Glen Center in Carle Place. This delightful shopping plaza has seen some shops/stores come and gone including ZOUP! It's a bit sad when they close:-(Let's hope the future businesses will prosper and stay longer to service our community.

During the great years that this delightful wonderful Greek restaurant was opened, it was awesome. Fresh well prepared Greek cuisine whether you ordered togo or enjoyed inside this comfy restaurant with live music on the weekends, warm friendly service which made you feel welcomed anytime you walked in the doors. There was plenty of parking outside and it was really close to shopping at Roosevelt Field & the nearby strip malls that we all love here in Long Island. Whatever transpired with the brothers(owners)is a loss to us foodies and local community because this restaurant is still sorely missed. Thank goodness that the original GREEK CORNER still exists in Franklin Square and has been serving up the best Greek cuisine for many years. It's ok, I don't mind driving a bit further for good well prepared yummy food. It's worth the drive. RIP the one in Carle Place, we are missing this restaurant sincerely.

Itâs nice place with table clothes and attentive staff. When we were seated they brought out pita bread w/ yogurt. Food came fairly quickly. We had a different dishes: like lamb kebab, shrimp kebab, chicken kebab and lamb chops. Everyththig comes with side of rice. They ask - white or brown? The brown rice is not regular brown rice, it is the same as white but with soy sauce all over it. Lamb kebab was tough. Shrimp was okay. Chicken was okay. Lamb chops were the most expensive $28, just okay. For us it was, okay we tried this place, was okay, not impressed, next time will something other place. P.S. Samarkand place in queens is really good.

So disappointed! Our first visit to the Westbury location was when my family and I was invited here by my cousin in 2018. When we were seated, the chef came over to our table and I realized my cousin knew the chef. The chef recommended some items and we ordered some items. All was absolutely delicious! In January, we returned, for lunch, thinking we would have the same level of quality and service. My wife and I had the BBQ Pork and my son, the Spuntino Burger, along with other items. WE WERE NOT IMPPRESSED! There was hardly any pork on the bun and what was on it, was fat, which we removed. It was not only my BBQ Pork but also, my wifeâs. The side or salad as we were told, was chick peas. Nothing wrong with the chick peas but the quantity looked like it was about 2 table spoons. For $14, one would expect a good quantity. As for my sonâs burger, it was over cooked and dry. Overall, the food appeared to be put together in a hurry with whatever was left over. Visually, it was not impressive nor did it taste like there was some thought put into it. A restaurant should always have consistency in the quality of its food.Hello, we are disappointed to hear about your recent lunch visit with us as it certainly wasnât up to our standards. If youâd please private message us your phone number our general manager would love to reach out!
