When you book a table for 7.30pm and the main course arrives at 9.35pm, with only a bread starter in between, it shows that something is going wrong. When a number of tables are served their mains (and even their dessert) before you, even though they arrived after you had arrived, it shows something is going wrong. We probably had every waiter in the restaurant apologise for the delay, which would have been totally acceptable had they not been so obviously concentrating on serving family, friends, relations etc before us.Having only recently re-opened, we thought we would try and support them by dining at their restaurant. It's a pity they were not able to support us in providing a value for money experience.Next time we'll spend our $250 somewhere else.Thank you for your recent review we value and appreciate your feedback and apologise we couldn't meet your expectations on your recent visit.Like your review states we have only just re-opened after suffering a significant event we wouldn't wish upon anyone, that said, it doesn't excuse the slow service. With regards to your comment about "concentrating on serving family, friends, relations etc before us" Our aim is to serve everyone who dines with us equally and without judgement, irrespective of who they are everyone at Olive is like our family and always welcomed. We would like to apologise if you felt others were served before you, this was an error within our ordering system and one that we have identified and have now resolved. We have also identified areas in need of improvement and will look at implementing a change of process to ensure ALL patrons enjoy their visit at Olive. We really do hope to see you again and give us another try.

Having read reviews before dining here, for first time, I was really surprised how good this place is. It would take too long to respond to all the individual negative comments so will just summarise our experience in response to those comments.SERVICE: Staff member opened door as we approached and gave us a warm and friendly greeting, seating us promptly. Service throughout the night was professional, friendly and prompt. Staff checked on our needs at regular intervals.BYO: Nice wine glasses were supplied along with ice bucket for the wine. We were not charged corkage, not sure if that is normal, but nice touch if it is.FOOD: Big servings of high quality food with wonderful flavours. The bread was very tasty and fresh. Although I had very little room I did have dessert which I chose from a good variety of quality items. Even had personal escort to cake cabinet. The coffee was hot and tasty, a great latte.PRICE: Very reasonable prices for the high quality food, generous servings, professional service and wonderful ambience. AMBIENCE: Despite a large funtion we were able to converse at normal speaking level, very good sound absorbtion. Very pleasant and relaxing decor along with clean and sparkling table ware. Finally, to the big bloke with the beard and amazing smile, you made our night a treat to remember. I especially enjoyed the escort to the cake cabinet and your time in explaining the selection. We will be back, even if it is just to experience your great and friendly service. Thanks to all the staff.

Went there with my husband and our friends plus our 4 month old. Had a fabulous dinner. We shared a medium pizza and ordered a pasta for our mains. Ordered the Spaghetti Pescatore, I asked for extra sauce - oh, it was so good, I could eat this everyday. Husband ordered the Fettuccine Fungi, extra sauce, he loved it! \The environment was inviting and cosy. I asked for a warm seating area when I made a reservation and was seated near the back of house area. I would've appreciated a seat away from the kitchen but it was no big deal as we got to see and smell the orders coming out. Ended up having a great night. We had disappointing Italian in Bondi just a few days earlier but paid twice as much for half the food we got here at La Rustica. We loved the serving size and the flavourful dishes, Chilli oil was so good on everything, I went home and looked up a recipe. We enjoyed the food so much that, my husband who is doing Keto Monday to Friday always suggests La Rustica for his Saturday carb loading session, so we have been going there 3 weeks in a row, now. Enough said.

For a Wednesday lunch place was packed. Went there especially for the mussels and was disappointed. Sauce was too thin, hadn't been reduced properly. Started with bruscetta which was quite good, and then followed with the mussels and salad. Took away small plates, salad? Didn't provide finger bowl; spoon for left over sauce. Took wine ended up opening bottle ourselves. Two wait staff on really didn't cope too well.

Agostinis welcomes guests in the Italian tradition of friends, family, laughter and great food. Agostinis is more than just a venue; it is an experience, a place for families to sit at big tables with pizza, pasta and vino della casa to share and for frie
We were looking forward to our dinner here - we had eaten here before a couple of times but when it was a previous incarnation and we figured - Tuesday night - shouldn't be too crazy, Italian, advertises itself as family style, whats not to love -so we were three adults and two older teens. We arrived quite early and were seated promptly, one person still to arrive. Our friendly wait person, with an Italian accent got us sorted with menus and water. Our last person arrived (not late) and hadn't even sat down when another wait person arrived and wanted to take our order. She could see that this person was still taking off a coat and sitting down so how she could possibility think we were ready to order was beyond us but anyway, we sent her away.5 minutes later, our first very friendly server reappeared and orders were taken. The restaurant appeared quite busy but staff seemed to have it under control (this will become relevant in a moment). We ordered main courses and bread with prosciutto and cheese. Drinks prices for wine and beer are very high, almost price gougingly high. I had a cocktail which was reasonably priced and tasty. Bread arrived promptly and was tasty as were the accompaniments. But then we hit the issues.Main courses took close to an hour to arrive. We didn't have any of the long-cook ones, just pizza and pasta. No one came near us - not to top up drinks or explain. We had to ask for more water when the main courses arrived. However, we did notice, at least 50+ pizza boxes go out (not all at once). (My teen counted, he was so hungry!) We have noticed this at various places lately - the Uber Eats or similar phenomenon. It appears that home delivery now takes priority over in-seating people. Parliament is currently sitting -we even saw a Greens polly arrive to personally pick up his takeaway pizza. We also saw a lot of wooden boxes go out of the kitchen which we presumed were for room service. It was just too long a wait without any explanation. Then, when my pizza arrived, it was barely lukewarm. Another pizza on the table was the right temp so it appears they weren't cooked at the same time and one had to wait for the other. Its a pity as the taste was nice in theory but the cool temp made it taste rather bland. The giant ravioli was on the under-cooked side of al dente. The other main courses were nice. Not an issue of Agostinis but the table next to us had three kids, the toddler of which tipped the open salt containers on the table (two of them) and his mum was happy to let him make patterns on the table in the salt ("isn't he so cute?") -here's hoping the staff noticed this and binned it when they left!So overall, we were hoping for so much more, an average experience.Hi Bad Seed,We appreciate your extensive review as it helps us improve our service and offerings.I have discussed issue regarding mains with the waitress and she is very sorry about the wait. As the group wasn't in a hurry to order she thought it would be nice to let you enjoy entrees without having to rush into mains straight away. However, I reinforced with the team the necessity to communicate with the customer to understand their requirements better.Regarding take away and room services there is no priority service there, as the kitchen prepares meals on a "first order in, first item out" system. And in recent years it has become an important part of the business without detriment to "in house" restaurant guests. The Agostinis team hopes you give us another chance and that next time we can offer that extra you wanted to have in this opportunity.Kind RegardsDanny Acioli

We visited for a light lunch and shared several entrees tapas style. This worked out well for trying a good range of dishes without having more food than we wanted. Everything we tried was presented attractively and tasted good. Great dessert. One of the best middle eastern meals Iâve eaten. Service was friendly and well paced.

Maestral Mediterranean Seafood Restaurant at 13 Trennery Circuit, Weston, ACT is an award wining restaurant. When you try their food you will know why. We love their Croatian cuisine, friendly staff and casual atmosphere. I had the lobster mornay with blitva (chard and potato with a drizzle of olive oil). It was delicious. My family also loved their meals (including non-seafood dishes). In fact, we all enjoyed the dinning experience so much that we returned a couple of days later. Again, the food was delicious. We love visiting this restaurant every time we are in the ACT.

We came on a fairly busy mid week night - I'm glad we booked!Despite the nearly full dining room, service was fast and polite, we especially appreciated our waitress with the curly hair who was so friendly and accommodating. The flexibility of the kitchen to adapt the banquet to gluten free for one of our party was incredible. Not only did they make the changes without batting an eyelid, but the modifications were thoughtful and meant the person could enjoy food as delicious as the rest of the table. We had the banquet which was excellent value for 65$ a head. Each dish was delicious and delicate. My favourite was the prawn moussaka but the kingfisher was a close second, along with the cardamom ice cream dessert. The wine list, which featured many Canberra district wines, was very varied and complemented the meal meal. I would happily return.
