I love this place, and since they opened, one year ago, Iâm a huge fan of it. Itâs pretty young and still evolving, but the design, the vision and the orginality are hilarious. Stunning view, great bar and cocktails and ... just a really special place. Go for it and give them your sincere feedback! Top.

Ein einfacher Gasthof, etwas abseits vom Schuss - die Einrichtung ist eher 70er Jahre aber das macht den Charme aus. Besucht von vielen Einheimischen Bauern nach der Arbeit auf 1-4 Glas Wein an der Theke - sehr nett und lustig. Der Service ist super nett, freundlich und bemüht.Leider geht das Essen gar nicht: Das Bologneser Schnitzel bestand aus einem komplett trockenem dünnen Schnitzel von ca. 130 gr, völlig durchgebraten. Darauf eine einfache Scheibe Kochschinken mit Sehne aus dem Discounter, darauf dann eine Scheibe Käse. Der top war war dann ein Viertel Tomatenstück auf dem gesamten Werk !! Als Beilage gab es ungewürzte Bohnen und Convenience Möhren sowie 1 Stück alter Blumenkohl. Die Pommes dazu waren ok.Das war leider das schlechteste Essen, was ich in Kaltern hatte. Das kann dann leider auch der gute Wein und die tolle Bedienung nicht wegmachen. Bitte ein wenig mehr Mühe geben beim Essen.

Oberhalb von Kaltern, in der kleinen Ortschaft Oberplanitzing, befindet sich der Speckkeller der Familie Sölva. Das Haus aus dem 16. Jhd. ist von Weingärten umgeben, die Vater und Sohn bewirtschaften.Der Keller ist eine urige und gemütliche Jausenstation, in der neben dem Hauswein auch Produkte aus der Landwirtschaft angeboten werden. Die Mutter steht in der Küche und zaubert herzhafte Gerichte, wie z.B. Schlutzkrapfen, Knödel-Tris, Gulasch oder Kaiserschmarren. Neben den warmen Gerichten gibt es auch verschiedenste kalte Jausenspezialitäten.Der eigene Wein kann ruhig mit Erzeugnissen renommierter Winzer mithalten, wie z.B. der Lagreiner Barrique oder der Cabernet Sauvignon.Wer einen tollen Weinkeller mit bodenständiger südtiroler Küche sucht, der ist im Speckkeller bestens aufgehoben.Die Jausenstation ist von Ostern bis Ende Juni und im Zeitraum August bis Mitte November von 18 bis 24 Uhr geöffnet (kein Ruhetag).

We had a delightful dinner here and highly recommend the Chef's pizza with spinach, ricotta and prosciutto. We had a very nice waitress that could speak English well and was happy to provide guidance. For desert the ricotta dumplings stuffed with apricots and served with homemade vanilla ice cream were both unusual and delicious. The portions are generous so feel free to share your dishes. Reservations are a good idea for popular times, especially in the evening as it gets cooler and more guests want to sit inside. There is ample free parking on site.

Beautiful lake-side location, at 5pm the place had a staff of about 10 waiters milling around aimlessly and all the tables (about 50) were empty. When we asked where to sit, we were directed under a tree as everything was reserved. It was hard to get menus and obviously the place was being prepared for a big party. Once we checked the mainly sushi offerings and prices, we realized that we would feel quite abused if we would stay there so we cut an elegant retreat. Nobody actually noticed or cared. Back up the hill towards Bolzano we discovered a lovely local restaurant where we enjoyed one of our best meals in Italy.

In a dramatically refurbished stone winery/barn, this owner-operated restaurant has it all for food, comfort, and hospitality. With a superb wine list offering the best of the region, and food that is locally sourced, fresh, and inventive, this restaurant is sophisticated without being fussy. Incredibly romantic, wonderfully welcoming, it was by far my favorite dining experience in Alto Adige.

This stunning restaurant, serving lunch and dinner, overlooks the vineyards along the wine route (weinstrasse/Alto Adige Wine Road). I began my lunch with a delectable cream of potato soup served cleverly in a small canning jar. Smooth, creamy, and delectable. Hubby ordered a fantastic soup of the day. I enjoyed pork tenderloin served with potatoes and fresh vegetables while hubby ordered Pappardelle, freshly made and attractively served. The restaurant has lovely views over the surrounding vineyards and was quite busy the day we stopped.

Absolutely exceptional! Our waiter Felix was friendly and welcoming yet still professional and efficient. Felix also made a perfect local wine recommendation.
