The restaurant was VERY busy, we had our starters which were delicious, but somehow our mains order was lost, so we waited and waited. When brought to their attention they immediately rectified, were very apologetic and went above and beyond to compensate. All the food was excellent, the ambience was lovely, the staff great - I think our delay was a one off that was handled perfectly by the manager. I would not hesitate to visit again or recommend.

Fabulous Breakfast and Lunch and special functions - with in and outdoor dining areas, fully licensed and air conditioned. Serving exclusively Sipping Duck local coffee with a great range of grab and go or relax and unwind.
Cafe Strada proved to be our favourite breakfast/brunch place while holidaying at Cairns. There are a lot of good things going for it, but it came down to the crepes: both the sweet ones as well as the savoury, they were all excellent and did well to set us up for the upcoming day. We truly enjoyed going back for more!If I have to point at negatives, I will say I found the coffee rather mediocre (but I am a certified coffee snob). There are better serious coffee establishments in the vicinity (but none that offer as good food). Service was rather slow though cheerful and courteous.

Iâm a regular at this place and brought my partner to celebrate his birthday. After being seated inside next to two couples with 3 children (including a crying newborn) we moved outside to get some quiet time. The carpaccio was tasteless, followed by a veal chop (greasy and covered with tasteless breadcrumbs) and the duck, which was Ok according to my partner.Service was very good and the pleasant waitress looked after us well. She convinced us that the banana crepe brûlée would be âcracking goodâ and we were not disappointed in the quality although the size was very small. We took our own wine and had less than 1.5 bottles for which we were charged $40 corkage. (Far more than the $9.5 that another reviewer was charged.)Overall the food was just ok, if on the bland side, but certainly not the usual standard.

We came here after reading the positive reviews on TA. We were not disappointed. We shared a spinach feta pide which was really really good. The meat platter was absolutely amazing. Our fave of the three was chicken. We didn't get dessert but received two baklavas with the bill. They were the best baklavas I've had in my life. Overall a perfect experience. We will definitely be back!

Tartufoâs menu is classic Italian! Inspired inspired by chef & owner Tony Percuoco's home town, Naples, and the surrounding regions of Tuscany, Umbria and Abruzzo, each decadent dish is designed to achieve visual beauty, texture, acidity, balance and enjo
Last minute decision for an Italian dinner! The pasta was al dente and perfectly cooked. The mushroom pasta just needed a touch more salt or cheese but was other wise delicious. The chicken pate was amazing. The veal entrée (with mayo, tuna etc) was alright but I was expecting more flavour. Service was great at the start, but as the night got busier we were waiting longer and longer for food. All up I think we spent 2 hours there - mainly waiting for our food to come out... If you are ok with eating early, get there before it gets too hectic!

Based on the great reviews and close proximity to our hotel, we popped in to Piato for dinner. Great location, atmosphere and service. Food was fresh and delicious. The octopus was cooked perfectly in the Greek tradition â nice and soft. Loved the arancini balls and sardines, but the stand-out dish for us was the prawn saganaki â fantastically tasty. Enjoyed a side of Mediterranean vegetables too.*Note that sitting under the ceiling fan was uncomfortably too cool for us on this particular night, but unfortunately there wasnât alternative seating available nor are the fans individually controlled.Dear GardengirlThank you so much for your review we are happy that you enjoyed the Piato experience. As for our fans these belong to the centre and are not individually controlled but you have given us food for thought to take it up with centre management.Kind RegardsElie

We stayed for one night locally so looked for a restaurant within easy walking distance of our hotel. The Casa Nostra was only 400 metres away and we were impressed with the contents of the Trip Advisor reviews from other diners. We certainly made the right choice. The service was great, the ambience spot on and the food was excellent. I had the Linguini Gamberi and my wife had a risotto. Both were generous portions, full of flavour and freshly made. The only slight gripe is the price of wine. I think the cheapest bottle was $46 and our choice came in quite a bit higher. How about a more reasonable vino della casa? All in all a very good and seemingly popular restaurant. Weâd go back.
