Our standards are high - foodies from Melbourne (3rd Greek city) who have eaten in several parts of Greece. Salvador did not disappoint. Fresh, hot pita bread with the lightest and tastiest Tarama dip; Halumi with caramelised figs a great combination we havent seen before, served in the grill-plate; superb souvlaki-style gyros lamb with delicious garlic/yoghurt. It's quirky, and yes, some of the stools in the huge, multi-level room do not have backs (other seating is available); yes, the waitress displays 'wit' - but we failed to understand the poor ratings by other reviewers. Suggest they eat elsewhere, we'll be back! Oh - and the prices were incredibly reasonable - under $60 for 2. BYO.

Taboon consistently delivers lovely food. We take out more often than eat in but it also has a nice atmosphere for a casual meal. The Bedouin Salad is a firm favourite!Thanks for your review. Great cocktails and good Italian wine. Much more than pizza and pasta.Authentic Italian pasta hand made right in front of us!Thanks so much Frederica and Fabio for the most wonderful dining experience! The service and your fabulous Gnocchi, Involtini di Vitello and Tortelloni di Zucca were the best we have ever eaten!! Also loved the Cannoli and Catalan desserts! Thanks also for the complimentary limoncellos! Wonderful experience! Weâll be back next winter for our 3 months at Burleigh Heads.

Our second visit did not disappoint. The service was great. The food really really good with lots of choice. The serving sizes too big but surely not a complaint for most people. All the staff were attentive and friendly and professional. The handmade cocktails fabulous.Iâm thrilled you had another great experience at Balboa Italian. Whilst on holiday in Burleigh Heads recently (from the UK) I visited the Harvest Moon restaurant with some family and friends. The whole experience from booking, welcome, service, food and final goodbye was excellent.The food (we chose eight tapas dishes) between us was delicious. The owner was welcoming and friendly and the bar and waiting staff super nice.I'd highly recommend this restaurant.

Staying at the GC because my passport had expired and could not get on plane to Bali anyways delightful holiday still. Uber driver suggested this place and it did not disappoint. On arrival lovely waitress bought us cold water and then ordered a bottle of red. Entree of shared salad and focaccia then after a nice time between a meal the mains. One was fettuccine carbonara and the other was tomato gnocchi. Both were absolutely delicious. Really nice place for dinner. Great wine list great service. Would highly recommend

Went to celebrate my birthday. We had a friendly greeting from Karin, our hostess. Started with Onion Rings and marinated Olves. Best Onion rings ever. Very tasty olives.Then we had the Stuffed Zuccini Flowers, Fish Hot Pot, Whiting Fillets & Pork Belly. Everything was sensational. We each had a cocktail but unfortunately they were all far too sweet. The Pinot Grigio was excellent. To finish I got a surprise birthday desert of Chocolate mud cake and creme brulee. A true dining experience that starts with a warm welcome by brothers Patrick and Pascal followed by beautifully flavoured cooked and presented food. The atmosphere is intimate and contemporary and the theatre of watching meals prepared by the chef (whoâs a delight) adds to a special experience. I highly recommend the Lebanese Lady cocktail (delicious) and the amazing Turkish coffee to finish. So impressed. Rabbath is now a firm favourite.
